HeRO 14th Anniversary Festivities

14 years ago, on October 15th 2005, HeRO first opened its doors! Quite a lot has happened since then, whether relating to content and features, or to player adventures and experiences within the server. And there's much more to come too, so join us for the anniversary festivities, which will last all throughout the month of October!

Quests

The birthday minigames are available in Fortuna town. After playing enough minigames, you will be rewarded with your choice of one of four new backpacks: Applering, Foxring, Orcring or Teddyring!

Pandelina can also be found in Fortuna, offering an updated backpack lottery plus a choice to craft one of three high end backpacks: Dragon, Pandaring, or Orichalcum.

We also have not one, but two Halloween quests available all month! In one quest you can help a very forgetful bathory with a potion recipe, and in the other you must find out who or what has been attacking the residents of Malangdo! Both quests may be started in Prontera.

And as a reminder, the Styla Disguise Quest is also available only during October. Help her in order to obtain a Lupus or Felinus Wig Costume!


Other Announcements

As if all the above wasn't enough, for the duration of October, 40 Pumpkinring will spawn in Niflheim instead of the usual 20 Quve and 20 Lude, and donations made in the month of October are worth double!

We'll be trying to change Monsters of The Moment more frequently this month too, for varied leveling!

The PVP for Items event will take place on Saturday October 5th, 2019 at 9:00 PM/21:00 EST, though real life weather + work situations may delay the event, so stay tuned~

(The date was actually on the time converter all this time, we just didn't officially announce it until we were a bit more sure that we could host it then.)

Challenge of the 14 Elites


Level Requirement:
Level 90 or higher

Time: Oct 12 16:00

For the 14th birthday of heRO, challenge 14 MvPs and their minions that are normally not spawned via Bloody Branches to see if you can fight against some of the toughest monsters available on the server!

You will be warped to event maps. Each map will be filled with monsters or minibosses related to the MVP/its region, along with the MVP itself. Defeat each wave of monster and advance to the next, until all monsters are defeated! Between each wave, you are given up to 3-5 minutes to rest/pet item management as GMs prepare for the next wave.

Kafras, repairs and recalls will not be provided. No late entries will be allowed once the party passes wave 4.

No event-exclusive MVPs are present so there are no surprises to experienced MVPers. MVP Nidhoggur's Shadow, Great Demon Baphomet, Entweihen Crothen and Naght Sieger will not be present. Any other MVPs and monsters are either spawned by a quest, or is a naturally spawned MVP at a high end dungeon. Therefore, any skills that they normally use will be present and is considered fair game. This includes any status effects, Hell Power, and equipment breakage that the mvp will normally use. Please plan accordingly.

The map has no walls/hard corners, and is a rectangular arena. Every even numbered wave is on a map with water present for Waterball. The map is sufficiently large such that there are safe spots away from the MVP for a breather or to regroup. Ice Wall/Web are allowed. Rude attack MVPs at your own risk.

There is no time limit. However, should the party stall excessively or is not planning to engage the MVP even after GM warning/hustling, monsters/minibosses will start to respawn near the MVP. GM will provide sanctuary for the MVP as well.

No relogs are allowed on the event map as you will be sent out of the event instead. Therefore, relogging to remove equipment strip status is not allowed. However, you may PM the hosting GM for a suicide-nuke instead for purpose of self-dispelling.

Rewards are given to any participating members based on which waves are defeated by the server collectively.

Prizes are cumulative for all players who stayed until the end. For example, if the server lost at wave 7, you earn all rewards up to and including "defeating wave 6".

Question, if the MVP is undead and the GM provides sanc for it, does it damage it, or does it count the GM as a monster and actually heal the mob? if it damages it, rude attack = teleport, so potential party wipe? :D
