Clothing Palette for Elemental Wings

Wouldn't that screw up ToH if you're Light, and you change wings all of the sudden in the middle and you go from your Sky view pallete to Deep Roots pallete, It'd just be another headache for you in that aspect.

However, changing it so that the pallete is earned for the whole account, not just the character that made the wings, that'd be lovely

As Peek and Oka have said, account-wide flagging of it would be the best. Since you can get them onto other chars with the Kafra, I think they should be able (but not required) to accessorize with the wings. Besides, I don't remember what character I did the quest with.

Heres an Idea, why not make it so you wouldn't be able to have the pallete unless you wear the wings, without having to do the quest over again on another character on the same account?

Make it so the NPC searches for the item in the equipment window, this way, it'll unlock that element's colors to the Stylist NPC. Think of it as a Key to the palette.

Something like.....

if(getequipid(2) == 10061 && getequipid(10) == 10061) goto ??

(Example with Arctic Wings, Lower and Armor equip slots)

Only problem with this, is that if you were to take off the wings, you could still see the palette color, but you could only change to the elemental colors again unless you have the wings on.

I think its if (isequipped(id)), I use this in another script already and for the earth/water combo xD

So far that's the idea I like best, a good compromise and easy to do, not requiring any extra variable either.

My opinion is that we should be able to have the pallet available to all of the characters on the same account. But then again I like to accessorize my characters. That and I don't think you should be required to equip the wings on that character, because the element looks neat on novices :D

That'd require the server to be an SQL server (I don't know if this server is or isn't), because then the NPC would have to keep a log of the account number, unless the scripter is willing to add in the account number to the beginning of the script (Example if the account ID = 200004 then....yeah) every time someone gets the item so they can have the palettes on other characters without having to equip it, but knowing there would be one person(?) every day getting a set of the wings, it'd be pointless updating the NPC script all the time.

In truth, I think lowering the required level to wear the wings would be a possible solution if you wanted to have the colors on your novice character, and so forth.

Used Zeroshadow's original suggestion, that is, you have to wear the wing while talking to Styla for her to change your palette to the elemental one.

I still like the idea of wings setting you a certain palette, so I'll be using that on the upcoming Butterfly wings ^_^

I'm still trying to work on getting the flower and zodiac ones, and occasionally the avian, but maybe these wings will be more friendly for mages to make finally :]

Sorry to get your hopes down but we're not planning to make them "friendly to make", they'll be harder than flower/zodiac that's for sure
