Is there any way to make it so that when you do @main off on one character, and then switch characters, it says off?

No sorry, but you can hotkey it for easy access.

In the future if the server becomes much bigger I might turn off main by default, and ppl would have to activate it.

Because I would love to have /bm automatically on every time I log on

You can set your Alt+Number macros to send messages. I forget the menu that changes it - but I assume it's Alt+M ??? Then you can set a macro to send those messages. My Alt+1 is set to @autoloot and Alt+2 is set to @main off

Yep its alt m, you can put emotes or commands in there ^_^

wow I learn something new each day, now I can finally use emotions more often and not get killed while putting on battle mode

Also, you can use Alt+M to communicate with others while in the middle of chatting with an NPC, for instance, when doing hatter quiz

I remember doing the Juperos 2 door openy thingy quest on an old server where it was buggy, to get everybody into the elevator at once we all had to pre-click the way through and then click 'yes' at the same time. We used Alt+M for the party to say when they were ready and when to go =P
