The young patient has Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis, which interferes with her kidneys' filtering capacities. Her kidneys have deteriorated significantly since she had surgery on her spleen and gall bladder last January, and her family hopes to get her a kidney transplant before she needs dialysis.

Her school principal was one of two volunteer donors who made a match, and the one chosen by the family. The surgery is planned for next January, and if all goes as planned, he'll be making all those principals who won't even give our kids minimal services, much less a body part, look pretty shabby.

wow. Seriously, I doubt any of the school principals I had would care that much let alone donate a kidney. That's insane!

So she had her gall bladder, and spleen removed.. and now a kidney? Is her body decaying?
