Colour is a difficult concept for me to grasp.
I make up for it with using gray shades.

It was a style I tried using that creates motion through the lines and gives the character more movement.
However, it didn't end well, but I liked it. :>

Everything is difficult in the beginning! I'm sure you could do it if you kept at it enough.
Look at me, my shading is still terribly off and so are my folds in cloth XD but i keep at it. Also no way i can archive a dramatic angle like in your picture as smoothly as you did. Doesn't stop me from trying though >:3
