Ally chat

ok so this takes a bit of explaining to do first and I'm not even sure if it's possible so lets see.

First of all, everyone knows there are currently three types of chats. All chat, Party chat and Guild chat, aside from main, which we will ignore for hte purposes of this suggestion.

Would it be at all possible (from a coding perspective) to impliment some sort of allied chat, either in the chatting system or as a seperate channel from main, sort of thing. Something that would allow guilds to not only chat to other people in their guilds but to chat to people in guilds that you are allied to.

I should explain if this is still unclear.

Guild X is allied to Guild Y.
There are people online in both Guild X and Guild Y.
Someone in Guild X says something in ally chat, and everyone in guild X and guild Y can see what he just said.


Is that sort of chat, possible here in RO? I know it's possible in other MMOs but in RO itself is that possible or is that too far beyond coding capabilities to do?

it's possible but probably won't be done since it needs a recompile of the server.

It's more than a recompile, it's outside of my coding ability, might wanna suggest it to the folks at eAthena ^_^

mmm alright, well, my questions have been answered. If I come up with something else that's extremely useful I'll suggest it in the hopes that it is NOT beyond your coding ability.
