A few BLACKSMITH questions

1. Can a blacksmith refine weapons instead of going to the blacksmith NPC?

2. Can a blacksmith put an element on an existing weapon? It seems as if I can only put elements on NEW weapons that I create.

1. Blacksmiths cannot, The skill to do that belongs to their transcendant classes, the White/Mastersmith

2. No you cannot, you can only add an element to a weapon that you are forging.

However, there are ways to add temporary elements to your weapon, i.e. Sages Endows, Converter scrolls, Priests asperio, and cursed water, but the scrolls don't last long enough to be truely relied on as a leveling tool imo. these elements are removed after the allotted time expires, or your weapon is unequipped for any reason
