Hmm, My suggestion would be like everyone elses speed up that metabolism, I ussually drink 1 or 2 green tea's a day to help speed it up, staying active also does it, I read from somewhere Drinking cold water helps burn a few(not much) calories, so cheat like that lol. eat 3 meals and 2/3 snacks. Eat fruits, instead of chocolates, Hell I like Grapefruits alot better than most chocolates..I guess im weird but grapefruits are said to help you shed some pounds. Also kick the soda, I havent touched a soda in 3.5 months and I feel so much better without it. Take Stairs instead of taking the elevator, and try skipping steps, it gets fun and its a workout. I was around the 240-250pd(I was one big mofo) mark 3.5 months ago, A month ago exactly I was 199, today I'm 181 and I'm working my way slowly to 150 >:D. You can do it snapple.

I care about my weight more than my figure. Yay for being able to eat junk and wake up all slim again (yeah but that food will kill me someday). I wake up at 6am and run for an hour. During the day, I bring a ziplock bag of cereal with me (not the sugar loaded cereal, mind you), and I add some dried fruit to it. I especially like cranberries. When I get home it's more running. I go for two to three miles a day. Today, it happened to be three. Three years ago, I was 113 pounds. Now I'm up to a fluctuating 120-125 pound...thingy. But it's in a healthy range so woo. Though since I'm conditioning for softball, I'll be gaining some weight, and that brings me back to the point. It shouldn't be weight you're trying to actually lose. You need to gain musckle, yes, muskle, weight. Or..you can cheat like me and get one of those laptop tables and just put it in front of the treadmill.

Don't you have to lose some weight first before they will let you?
P.S. Don't listen to me. I just had two giant cookies, mind you.

Too lazy (bad habit) to site proof but high metabolism and high heart rate leads to shorter life span.
Take the mouse and elephant into consideration. The mouse's heart beats very fast (like I said I don't have numbers), while the elephant's beats very slowly. Thus the mouse has a much shorter lifespan than an elephant, which lives to be over 80. Lucky for us humans (yay go human genome) our system can withstand 50% more heart beats per life time than any other species.
All in all faster metabolism makes you burn faster, through fat, muscle, and life.
So stay away from caffeine and bad cholesterol. That's my advice.
edit: Ooh... stress doesn't help at all either.

I don't drink caffeine. 2+ years free!
Sadly, I'm a distance runner. I don't lose weight from that. 5m or so a day.
