Grats to all who participated, I got some nice answers that did fit the riddle, however I was thinking of harry potter when I wrote it.

My red & yellow garnment is one of my trademark. --> He has a red & yellow scarf, the colors of gryffindor.

My family can be really unfair! --> He's being treated unfairly by his aunt and uncle.

Everyone knows me! --> In the first book/movie, when he gets to the magic world, everyone knows him! In addition to also being popular in real life as books/movies.
