RE: The Leveling Compendium
Now it's time for Linnea's Guide to Leveling a STR/AGI Combo Monk
The Cursed Aco Days
This assumes you don't feel like resetting later and are therefore a crazy battle acolyte. Basically, you're a skill-less swordie...with a spikey stick.
13-20: Spores (Payon Field)
After you job change, get yourself a mace if you don't already have one and head 1 south of Payon. They give some nice exp for the early levels.
Regardless of the fact you have Heal, you should bring potions with you wherever you go.
20-30: Muka (Sograt Desert)
Two south of Morroc. If you have access to a fire mace, great. If not, oh well. While you're here, GET PNEUMA. You're gonna need it soon.
30-40: Cruisers (Toy Factory 2)
From the desert to the freezer. You'll be heading to the Toy Factory in Lutie to pick on the little soldiers with guns. This is why you need Pneuma, it'll stop them from hitting you. Look out for Baby Garm/Garm and Stormy Knight.
40-50: Firelocks (Amatsu Dungeon 1)
Arm yourself with potions and SP recovery items. You'll need them. Also, make sure you have pneuma down at all times because Firelocks hit hard. You can either heal bomb to death (You'll see why I said Sp recovery items real fast) or just beat them. I find the first faster despite your lack of INT.
Thing to look out for: Firelocks have a special attack that seems to bypass Pneuma. This will do a good 800 damage to you. Also, if you see a purple blob on the floor, teleport. Firelocks also drop a card that's useful to you.
50-Job Change:Firelocks (Amatsu Dungeon 1) OR Leaf Cats (Ayothaya Dungeon 1)
If you want faster job leveling do what the swordies do and go pound of Leaf Cats. They give crap base exp, so it's solely for job leveling (6k Job Exp is excellent) If you want base levels, stay at Amatsu. Your choice.
Enlightened as a Monk
Okay, so you're a monk now. Get your combos ASAP.
Job Change- 75: Hill Winds (Lighthalzen Fields)
At this point you should be able to afford elemental weapons, in which case I order you to get elemental fists...or at least Earth. Head 2 maps North and 1 Map East of Lighthalzen for the bird men. They're pretty easy, especially with an Earth Fist. However, they tend to mob, especially towards the middle of the map (I have no idea why O_o but there always seems to be a mob there) Also watch their Jupitel Thunder.
75-99: You have a few options here.
Sleepers (Yuno Fields): Investigate/Occult Impaction required. You'll also want a Mighty Staff (+10 STR) or Stunner. This map is popular for Monks as well as Assassins so keep an eye out.
BTW, take your Great Natures and get them broken down by the shaman in Umbala. You shall be rich.
Turtles! (Turtle Dungeon "2"): The island counts as a floor O_o; Anyway, you'll want Investigate yet again.
High Orcs (1 West of Orc Dun): Break out an Ice Fist and combo High Orcs to death. Look out for Orc Hero.
Merman (Bylan 5): Wind Fist needed, pound Mermen and any Strouf that interrupt your Merman pounding.
=D And that's all I got. Good luck.
I don't use @main. Do not ask for me there

RE: The Leveling Compendium
It's called downgrading elemental stones, you get some(don't remember how many) Green Lives from Great Natures, Red Blood from Flame Hearts, and so on.
