GM-Pandora Wrote:It's been suggested before actually, not sure if we'll do it. We might make the quest repeatable instead so players can craft another rod on the same character.
On another sidenote, I suggested the fishing rod to be breakable a long time ago, you said you would think about it. Pls pls pls make it breakable
Hmmm if it is breakable, does that mean it needs to become equippable to do that? Or just add a script to where it would be taken out of your inventory?
Mmmm *doesn't want to think of breaking fishing rods everywhere*
No way breakable! What would be the point of it breaking? Unless it breaks and is then repairable that's fine. But if it's breakable and then gotta redo the quest, then mmmmMmmmm No Way Jose!

REPAIR PLZ but don't make it breakable in the first place ! The quest is annoying more than difficult to have to do it every time it breaks. I think it should be repairable by an NPC that asks for elastic band or something

Breakable ftw.??Maybe a little bit of both.??At low chance it's just slightly fractured so it has to be repaired and at even lower chance it's broken for good and you have to make a new one.
Maybe fishing rods could have different levels of damage.??Perhaps every time you pull up an anvil or a treasure chest (the heavy items) it would add a level of damage.??So when it's slightly damaged your rates of pulling up junk items is lowered and when it's fully repaired it will fish at normal rates.??Also it becomes less likely to break again when it's damaged as you won't be pulling up as many heavy items.??So it's more advantageous to fish with a broken rod but you have to be careful not to break it completely or you will have to do the quest all over again.??People willing to take a risk also get rewarded with better fishing rates.??As a bonus it would kill macro fishing because you gotta pay attention when you fish.
