Donating players commands

we used to have this on my old server to encourage ppl to donate. They are !commands.
We had a few of them but here is a sample of what we had

!buff
I think it would be nice to include those commands as a small thank you to donators. It had a limit cap depending how much you donate, for example you get 1 point for all the !commands for every 2$ donated. They only involve doing something to the player who donated and not party members or others.
Whatcha guys think?

If we don't want donation being broken with donation equipments like other servers, why on earth would we want donation commands, that would emulate what people were doing with dual client years ago could do (like self res and self buff (what you are stating as exemples of what you are suggesting here) ).

Not really, why are they giving OCA and such? It nothing that would give you a totally fair advantage. It's just like opening an OCA and getting a ghostring card...hmmm? Yer not giving a permanent item, it's a temporary thing, even so less harmful

Why not focussing suggestions on what is needed, and not on what is not...

What is needed are thing that would improve the game and the server. Searching new ways to get donations of real money doesn't improve the server. Anyway, thats just my opinion, gms could tell you what the server need and don't need better than I do lol ._.

edit: I just took at look at the donation page, and just the august month gave more than 750 dollars to the server. The server is growing and is bringing new players that want to help the server. As long as we can bring new players, I think that the economical status of the server will be healthy. Lets work on new cool features or ways to improve what we have for the benefit of all

I can assure you that ! commands will never happen, sorry.

Although, what would help the server, as Krimlin started, would be testers and coders to help bringing the new content faster on the open server!

well i hope not... one of the main reasons i joined this server was because there isn't an unbridgeable gap between donators and non-donators...

lol there still is a gap though for those who get like 40 OCAs/obb/opp/ buff foods etc bc of donating vs someone who doesn't. Either way, idea rejected so

Yeah, 40 lunatic cards, 40 red potions, 40 green herbs and +3 buff foods.

At the very start of the server we considered various donation options, we we against selling uber gear and mvp cards of course, but we thought about some harmless commands since we had seen that on a previous server, however in the end we decided to go with chance items instead.

Sure you can get a good card out of an oca you got from donation, but you can also get a good card out of an oca you found in game, and that's where the balance lies, to us at least. It's not perfect, but we feel that getting in-game what you can get via donation is doable, so there is no gap between donators and non-donators. At best, donating can help you get started faster, but we got plenthy of proof that non-donator do just fine, in fact most people who would be considered "top-tier" never donated.
