So do pets use skills?

I've heard that they do from main, buti want to be completely certain before i throw away zeny gettingone.


and if they do, is the generic pet skills active here? (ie: baphomet jr has some weird attack that does 1733)


Also, do the custom pets have skills? and if so, what?

Pet skills should work as normal, but I believe you need them loyal and with their pet equip on first before they will do it. Other than that, the looter pets loot without being loyal.

Custom pets...all of them loot as far as I know 'cept for Civil Servant, Succubus, and Aliot. Most of them also attack except those three (then again I never got either of these three loyal yet).

oh, what do succubus do? succubus is my favorite monster (with the exception of maybe bapho jr)

Yah Succubus I think doesn't do anything at all, but GM's might be able to confirm this better. I don't think she attacks but again I could be wrong.

What Aki said. Pets need to wear their cute-pet-armo to use their skills (except looting which is handled differently), so custom pets and alice/zhestish don't have skills due to them not having cute-pet-armor.

I wouldn't hold your breath, people!
Very few (if any?) servers have managed to make accessories for their custom pets that work properly, so the only way to make them use any skills they may have is to remove the requirement for pet armour altogether, which is definitely a no-no.

Yeah pretty much that. I tried the pet accessory a long while ago, it didn't work, haven't really given it another chance since.

I'd like to challenge the Alice/Zealtous part. If I recall, even without accessories, Alice can heal, and Zealtous has a chance to use Sonic Blow while attacking.

Not that I really paid much attention to start, but I honestly haven't seen Zealotus pets use sonic blow at all. Alice does heal without pet accessory, but I guess that's the price of using white pots on a pet in hopes of the pet healing more than the cost of her feed ;p

Not really a priority to give custom pets "something other than looting" heh... sorry if that disappoints you ;
