"heRO- PvP 4 Real": heRO Birthday PvP Tournaments

It's a shock that such thing as PVP exist in heRO to some of our players, so what is it exactly?

Time for all 3 Tournaments
Trans 4vs4: Saturday 4 PM Oct 17
Non-Trans 3vs3: Sunday 5 PM Oct 18
Baby 1vs1: Monday 7 PM Oct 19

Trans/Non-Trans Team PvP Tournament Setup
-time limit: 5 minutes each battle
-if there are only 4 that joined, then there will be no 3rd place winners (only 1st and 2nd). If there are 3 or less that joined, then there will be no 2nd place (only 1st and 3rd.)
-team may forfeit the match or ask for tie before start of match
-players may enter more than 1 division
-your party must sign up at least 2 days in advance by posting in this thread
-one character cannot join more than 1 team within each division
-each player cannot join more than 1 team within each division
-your team cannot have duplicates of any 1 class. Different evolution of the same class family counts as different class.
-eg. assassin and assassin cross are 2 different 'class'
-full round robin setup: every team fights another team once
-exiting the arena through any intentional means counts as a lost for you/your team. If you got knocked outside of the arena, you must re-enter as soon as possible.
-if any participant got muted due to misbehaving when they are watching (such as interfering with the fight, fighting other audience, etc), they will not be unmuted when it's their time to fight (it'll be your own fault)
-healer, equipment repair will be available
-GM will provide rogues/stalkers will skills they lost for plagiarism during the tournament
-each win constitutes as 3 points
-each tie constitute as 1 point

Trans defined as: any and all classes allowed to enter

Non-trans defined as: Non-Transcedent basic 6 classes, Novice, Super Novice, Gunslinger, Soul Linker, Non-ranking Taekwon, Ninja

Baby 1vs1 PvP Tournament Setup
-players may forfeit the match or ask for tie before start of match
-time limit: 5 minutes each battle
-if there are less than or equal to 6 participants, then there will be no 3rd place (only 1st and 2nd)
-players may enter more than 1 division
-your must sign up at least 2 days in advance by posting in this thread
-each player fights 5 times. If this is not possible due to lack of participants, then it becomes full round robin.
-exiting the arena through any intentional means counts as a lost for you/your team. If you got knocked outside of the arena, you must re-enter as soon as possible.
-allowed classes: any baby characters at lv 70 or higher
-if any participant got muted due to misbehaving when they are watching (such as interfering with the fight, fighting other audience, etc), they will not be unmuted when it's their time to fight (it'll be your own fault)
-healer, equipment repair will be available
-GM will provide rogues/stalkers will skills they lost for plagiarism during the tournament
-each win constitutes as 3 points
-each tie constitute as 1 point

How to Sign Up for all 3 tournaments
Post within this thread with your team's character name, class, and which division to enter. You may edit your post to change which character to join as long as it's 2 days before the tournament. This means that the deadlines are:

Trans: register before the end of thurs Oct 15
Non-Trans: register before the end of fri Oct 16
Baby: register before the end of sat Oct 17

Details and Rulings for Team PvP Tournaments
-location: the map "guild_vs4"
-access to kafra allowed inbetween fights (provide your own bwing to go back to town, GM will provide the warp from town to arena)
-no cute pets
-banned items: yggdrasil berry, yggdrasil seed, yggdrasil leaf, nemo, dori, angel fish, any other item with same effect as the ones listed here, token of ziegfried
-no prebuff time: GM kills everyone with hell's judgment first (as dispel). PvP starts the moment GM resurrects everyone. Intentionally avoiding Hell's judgment through anyway counts as rule breaking and team suffers auto-defeat for this round. (note: if your team contains SN, remind host GM every time you are recalled to fight)
-all other items are allowed in any quantity you can carry
-you cannot use "resurrection" on anyone outside of your own team. Using it because you suspect of Evil Druid armor and want to 'verify' it will not be accepted as an excuse.
-banned skill: teleport, warp portal, marriage recall
-all other skills allowed without any restriction or limit
-note: anyone who died and revived once is automatically kicked out of the pvp room upon 2nd death, so there is no need to worry about infinite resurrection
-any team that doesn't show signs of aggression for a continuous 30 seconds count as auto-lost. Negative status infliction (lex divina, lex aeterna, etc) does not count as signs of aggression. Signs of aggression must deal actual damage.
-a tie occurs if all members of both teams are dead at the same time, or if both teams got living party members, or if the 2 parties agree on a tie

-no substitutions allowed: if a team member did not show up, d/ced, tourney lasted too long so they have to leave, or fail to attend for any reason, your team will have to fight as is. Line up is pre-made and no teams will be allowed to "go earlier" or "go later" because a party member may be absent.

-free win rule: for any team forfeits or is a no-show, any other team who fights that team gets a free win.

-banned skills: all homunculus related skills, marriage skills
-Alchemists are allowed to use potions through potion pitcher only
-no restriction on any other skills/items
-no prebuff time: GM kills everyone with hell's judgment first (as dispel). PvP starts the moment GM resurrects everyone. Intentionally avoiding Hell's judgment through anyway counts as rule breaking and team suffers auto-defeat for this round. More than 1 team/player with same number of points in the end

This was a big problem in almost all heRO tournaments so it deserves its own section. We believe that this should be very precise and clear-cut on how to solve the problem.

All teams with the same number of points will enter a massive FFA battle. The team last standing will receive the highest placement out of these teams. The last team to lose all party members within the FFA gets 2nd placement out of these teams. The 2nd last team who lost all of its party members within the FFA gets 3rd placement, and so on.

If time runs out, then party with most surviving members will get the highest ranking.

If time runs out and there's multiple parties with the same number of survivors OR everyone died in the exact same time, then these parties will get the same position and these parties will claim prizes out of the same bracket.

If there's 2 parties sharing 1st place, then the tournament won't have anyone in 2nd place. If 3 or more parties are sharing 1st place, then there's no 2nd or 3rd place in the tournament at all. If there's 2 or more parties sharing 2nd place, then there's no 3rd place.

Sample Scenario:
Party A, B, C, D and E all got the same amount of points to fight for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

A B C D E enters a big FFA, same rules and location as rest of tourney.

D was the first party to lose all members. D gets 5th place.
C was 2nd party to lose all members, so C gets 4th.


Let's say last surviving members of team B, E and A all died at the same time. Then all 3 are 1st place, and there will be no 2nd or 3rd place.

Let's say time is called and none of these 3 parties lost all members. A got 2 guys standing. B got 2 guys standing. E got 1 guy standing. E loses within these 3 since Party E got least amount of members alive. A and B are still tied. They are both 1st place then. Tournament won't have anyone in 2nd place, and Party E is in 3rd place.

Same applies for baby 1vs1 tournament.


Prizes


All members in 1st place each get to choose any items from category 1, 2 3 or 4.
All members in 2nd place each get to choose any items from category 2 or 3 or 4
All members in 3rd place each get to choose any items from category 3 or 4

The same item within a category cannot be chosen more than once by members within the same party.

Any other participants may choose 1 participation prize.

Participation prizes can be chosen more than once.

Winners in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place do not get a participation prize on top of their winning prizes.

Question : Will videos be made from the matches? A GM could use perfect hide, recording the battles, and then upload the videos somewhere (YouTube, etc) or for download on the heRO website, similarly to iRO's USRC.
