Suddenly, Lag! Thousands of them!

Ok so while i was on my Whitesmith trying to buy something, i started to lag. thats fine you would say, but this is lag that means it takes 20 seconds to send text, 20-30 seconds to MOVE or do any action that would mean my char had to do something.

To test i hoped on my sisters comp, same thing, it is not my internet as websites and other games work, my graphics is fine as everything else works. No setting was changed as it happened while i was ONLINE at the time. other characters in other maps - same thing.

There is no error, or message to tell me something is up. The Ram/CPU usage is fine.

At this point i'm a little annoyed to say the least, not at you guys, but at this problem in general as i have NO IDEA why this has started. if it gave some kinda error i'd be fine, i can fix errors. But this has confused and bested me so far.

Anyone out there thats fixed this or knows whats up so i can fix it?

PS: or any tests of any kind, i'm all out of ideas.

I am having similiar problems at times. I have a very good connection and have NEVER had this type of lag until about 3-4 days ago...heRO would freeze for a good 10-15 seconds...and then continue. This happens randomly as well, and I am fairly positive it is not from my side. Today I was lucky enough to only encounter lag once.


Maybe someone is trying to attack heRO again? I would have blown that idea off...but the appearance of this "Zeel32" guy who keeps evading IP bans and threatening to do something to heRO does make me a little uneasy.

I Thought it was just me, as while i was unlagged for about 1 second every so often i didnt seem any complaints on main. everyone else is fins as far as i can tell.

When I asked on main...a few people had the same problem at similar times...its pretty confusing, can't think of any reason why this is happening to only a select few .

It's really weird, i cant fathom a logic or even unlogical reason for it. if heRO was getting DDos'd everyone would lag at once. i just want to do my quest

EDIT: Ok, after however long it was (totally forgot about heRO, was playing offline games *_*)
heRO now works perfectly, no reason just works.


SOLUTION TO PROBLEM - To any that has had this problem, wait it out i guess, i wish i could give technical and detailed solution this time, but alas it fixed it self somehow.

I also get lag at random times for no obvious reason. My RAM is weaker though so that probably factors in.

Too many vendors. They don't count as population imo.

Vendors should realistically only affect your lag if you are in the same map as them. The server doesn't send you data on them (excluding @who commands) regularly unless you're loading the map / on the map.

I myself only lag when trying to buy something in Prontera. Unfortunately this sometimes causes all-out disconnection. Quite laggy to log into Prontera as well.
