VIDEO MONTAGE!? (Contest? Maybe?!)

I know we have some creative guilds here, Algi Skepis Hosts Server Events, Nya Does MvP Runs (But, in the Nya Way), Nocturnal Echo WoE's/MvP's and >> THEY HAVE RENNAY?!, Behemoth WoE's and has the best map maker on HeRO (Can you say, the silent cartographer kohaku?) Revenga has a sniper that can tank better than most paladins, and has a creator that solo's vitually anything.

There are others, MANY OTHERS, But these are the ones that people mostly know.

What I'm saying is, guilds new/old,WoE/Non-WoE ,MvP/no MvP on this server are unique and cool. What Better way to promote not only your guild, but the server as well if we have a Video Montage! Showin how crazy amazing our servers / guilds are.

Seriously, when you go on youtube, and you look up different things about RO and you see other pservers, WE SHOULD BE UP IN THERE@!

Events like, the one where Dracula was trying to get his hoes inline (dracula kidnapping girls in RO (dunno if they were noble) that stuff is pretty funny, or that one event where we had to escort St Viticus(guess that was his name) that high wiz with THAT LONG CAST TIME! to the center of the shrine, then we had to lure skroll in his Long Cast. OR even where we had to defeat Surtur? or that one mvp in gorge where all those mobs spawned and we had to kill 3 different fafnir's to even get that boss to spawn. And lol I remember Behe/DD/everyone who could help formed this giant block while the random people did w/e. And it ended up Oniichan saying F THIS GIMME DEVO AND BERRIES and he CT'd Surtur to death That event was epic, and if it was recorded imo I would love to replay that over and over again.

And now! with the (hopefully) upcoming death of satan morroc we have people getting teams together to kill it, that would be a nice thing to see on youtube.

Just saying, HeRO has/had some insane in da membrane events, it would be nice if someone was a camrea man, and recorded some of the epicness.

BUT!!! I think we should really promote this by doing a contest of video's and letting the public of HeRO judge the best one to maybe<< if the GM's like it put it on their home page? dunno

Even if it won't be a contest, I encourge this server, with all these differnet guilds on them, to think about having a video montage on the forums, maybe not as a contest, but just as simple as a thread dedicated to video's of what goes on in HeRO.

Mrm...I got a crazy idea to string vids of BB parties together to some music...but

1. I don't know the first thing about HyperCam or CamStudio etc

2. or video Editing

3. Or youtube formatting....

camtasia is a MUCH better program than fraps. 100x cleaner too.

Got to agree with this, at least for games such as RO, camtasia is the way to go.

I agree, I made a video(forgot to turn on the audio though), got 40 minutes on 4.8gb.
Not bad since 7 seconds on Fraps is almost 300mb.

Either way, I got problems, I can't record with Camtasia again, so weird, I even fully uninstalled and reinstalled it but nothing, meh.
Maybe it's because of Windows 7...

Now I can't find any good screen recorder, anyone knows another or got the same problems and know how to fix it?

Personally I've had the best experience with Snagit, however my internet is generally too laggy to keep that going well right now.

What version? I recently downloaded Camtasia 6(latest one), and it is working fine for me. However, I still am on XP...but I am pretty sure it should work with 7 as well. Maybe the one you downloaded is corrupt? If that is the case, I wouldn't mind sending you the copy I have .
