As for what characters I like to main... It really comes down to the type of server and how well balanced everything is. RO was designed with a max level of 99 and as the level increases from there things slowly begin to get unbalanced, or at very least play differently. For instance in my opinion the game stays 'mostly' balanced up until 150, 180 with some changes and stats still around 150. Anything above that becomes significantly harder to balance. 200-250 allows for some unique builds and play styles, though I have seen very few servers be able to pull the balancing act with it.

In other games I play a tank type. WoW for instance I main a protection paladin and have a prot warrior. RO works incredibly different for tanking though as everything is done quickly and comes down to a lot of instant tactics rather than using strategy to control and/or get control of a situation.

The classes I usually play are Lord Knight/Paladin, Assassin Cross/Stalker (stalker as a PvP only), Professor and White Smith. Sometimes I will have a Champion, but only if the server isn't filled with Asura whores and a combo build is viable. Normally I will main a 2H Sword Lord Knight with a spear for things like Spear Boomerang or a Crit Assassin Cross. Otherwise if the server is fit for it a Shield Paladin or a Cast Professor.

Here... I have in the works an LK, Paly, AC, Prof and WS. The other two may pop up one day but I prefer to have minimal characters. I can invest more time making 5 awesome than I can getting 10 decent.
