I'll post my experience with this game in detail after Im not so sick, dizzy and sleep deprived. But for now, let me hear your opinions.

Did you buy this? Rent it? Play it at a friends house?

Well, I've only played X and XII. XD

I hated the XII battle system, and like the forward plottingness...y of X, but after showing realtime battle in XII, I can see why they didn't go back to like X.

lolKretz. I got the game with my console; had I forked out the $108 it costs to buy it new, I'd be raging too.

The characters are annoying, stereotypical (seriously, ANOTHER black character with guns?) and just generally forgettable. Pink haired chick has the worst voice actor ever. Story (so far) seems mostly forgettable but I guess there's still room for that to improve (only a few hours in). Nothing can save the butchered mess that is the character design of FF13.

I don't mind the battle system, though it seems pretty easy/linear so far. Jump into a battle, mash A while reading forums, refocus attention when the battle music stops and repeat x 125215214152143. The leveling system seemed interesting at first, but it's a hallow concept which ultimately only serves as a way to waste time.

Good graphics aren't enough to redeem the multitude of flaws. You'd think after 13 games they'd be able to get it right.

Kretzzzzzzzzzzz hurry up and buy BC2.

FF13, waste of my $60 as well. I was excited the first 10mins......then it all went down hill from there. Just feels like im going down one long ass tunnel for 30 hours.

Lol, the character designs suck cause Nomura can't design a character worth two craps. Anyway that's why the designs suck, wish they'd get a new artist or rehire Amano magically (doubtful, bet that man is having 10x more fun showing work off in museums and helping to make comics).

Anyway, my bf and I weren't going to buy this mess till it was 20 dollars or less. Sounds like it was a good idea on this one to wait. Its a damn shame though, it sounded like it had a really promising potential for a good storyline.

Its a shitty storyline altogether. It keeps bombarding you with stupid sounding terminology and explaining it 40 cutscenes later.

First 2 hours of gameplay: "Oh my God! My fiance who looks roughly 14 years old is a L'CIE and she turned to crystal because PULSE FAL'CIE gave her a FOCUS and we must save COCOON from PULSE because Im a goddamed one dimensional hero with a silly bandana."

"MY MOTHER GOT HERSELF KILLED, AND FOR SOME REASON I AM BLAMING YOU FOR HER STUPIDITY. That'll be my motivation for the first 20 hours! Sweet!"

Also, the difficulty curve seems like it was drawn by Jackson Pollock, or maybe an Ostrich with hungtintons. You breeze trough the game like if you were playing Lego Batman, and then randomly you get an Eidolon(Transformer) fight thats 5 times as hard as the 4 or 5 bosses you fight after him.
