Lag-I have solution, now need GM help

i believe the lagg is only kinda recent, (atleast for me), and by recent i mean since all the new added stuff, weve had a rush of new stuff added quests and towers and maps and items, in a short amount of time. and the random lagg spikes could just be all the buggs being worked out and programs getting settled into heRO. just give it some time im sure it will be smooth as it usually is. and if not then it has to be your connection/computer.

No, port-forwarding does nothing for RO, since there is nothing connecting to you, its you connecting to the server.

It seems to be on your end or with your ISP, since no one else is disconnecting as far as I can tell.

I can't really say if you should, we don't really know what is causing it in the first place. Hard to make a decision if we don't know if something else is interfering, etc.

Best thing I can say right now is find a way to isolate/identify what is causing it, though that's probably difficult to even start.

If you have a friendly neighbor, a friend, or a relative nearby with another ISP you could take your computer to them to see if the problem goes away there.

I also suggest looking into other computers on your home network, if someone is running torrents or some other p2p program that can cause some serious ro lag in my experience, especially if you have a cheap router that can't handle many connections.

when we started lagging i already asked my bros if they were downloading anything and they wearn't

also recently the lag stopped for a day, then the next day it started again

Btw, right now lots of people are getting lag spikes. Have been so for 2-3 days. But it wasn't when you started the topic.
