Lag-I have solution, now need GM help

I have shaw. My modem is hooked up to a router and I play on a wireless connection *laptop*. I have no lag, BUT I know the lag your talking about.

You'll have to call in a tech from shaw, get them to come over and test your lines. We had to get our cable lines replaced due to cracks in a few parts of the cables. THEN a few months after it got bad, like i couldnt even run the game due to the lag. So I called again got someone to come in and they tested the connection from my laptop, my pc, and their laptop and found out that we where only getting a very bad high speed connection.. I was like wtf Im paying for extream High speed.. So they had to do some weird tech stuff from the head office.

You might also need to have your modem replaced, something they do for free. Oh ya! One more thing, we had to get a new router once. It the cause of our lag one time aswell.

And I think Kari was wondering if your hooked directly or thru a router.

GM-Aki I think said they are consulting with the people and companies they need to consult to work out the problem. The GM's are doing there work, its the darn isp of the heRO servers thats lagging I think.

We are, we are running checks on the server with nothing poping up saying its the machine and us. So now we have to convince the provider..

For most of my issues I also only lagged in iRO. Like couldnt even stay logged on for 1 mintue.

Srsly call Shaw and ask them whats going on. My second guess is that the times you lag are super busy times for your area. Either that or you need a new router, or your ports got all messed up, or your computer has internal issues that you have no idea about.

I really dont think the issue is with the server, yesterday when ever someone QQ'ed on main about the lag, not once did I get the spike.. But the day before I hit them all.
