I don't care much about them, I didn't even knew they existed before I joined hero and saw the voting stuff.

Still browsing through them there were two questions coming to my mind:

HeRO is a "gold member". What does that mean?

There are "In" and "Outs" counted. What are those two?

In are the amount of votes, and outs, if I recall correctly, count the amount of people who have clicked on our listing, effectively telling us how many times people have been redirected from the topsites to our homepage.

Also going off memory again, but I think gold membership either lets us have a banner in our listing, or on the side of the site.

Like Circe said. Although I want to add, being a gold member of these sites costs Pandora a bit of extra money. However, the benefit is having the heRO banner, which catches the eye more, as well as gives extra information, for the casual person looking up server descriptions.

FYI at the time of this post i see we are 26 on 200 and 32 on 100 this is over all ratings

Not always. I'm think the banner competition had sizes for the Top Sites, as we had either just gotten gold membership, or were about to.

Pretty much what was said already, the INs are the votes from people of heRO, they determine our ranking. The OUTs are what we want to see, they are people clicking to check out heRO.

We don't always have a gold membership, it's $15 per month, so gets costly kind of fast, in addition to the 3 banner on RMS already. With the addition of the Vote for Points I decided to purchase both banners to give us an extra visibility.

I also purchased another banner on the Top200 which appears when you enter the capcha to vote for any server.



In the graphic above you can see that both our INs and OUTs have significantly increased since the Vote for Point was added (on the 8th).

hmm... well if new players are really deemed that important, who am i to say no?

but yeah, hopefully our bounce rate remains low... otherwise it's all for moot because we have to admit that even a great "be nice" server like us isn't always what ppl are looking for, especially all those iwannaberichquickandhaxtoosoicanpwnzorsnoobsallthetime players... looking at several pages over the last months in the ban thread, tbh it doesn't look too promising...

if possible, can we please get an update of this graph over the next month to see how it develops?

I think heRO is in desperate need of new players.
A lot of vets to the community left due to various reasons.

These vets that have left haven't been really replaced yet, and its kind of noticeable at times during woe and trying to form parties to some places.

My Friend Came to Hero Using Searching Low Rate Server in Google and RMS.
But he Came To Hero through some Top Sites.
He Browsed Every Server Features 1 by 1. and Found Hero.
I Said Him I Wasn't gonna Play Hero as it seemed Boring.
And 2 Months Later Even I Started Playing in Hero.
As i Did Like The Server Features.
So Topsites do Affect(Sometimes).
