So for the life of me, I do not understand why I am lagging. It's never done this before.
My lag is utterly, utterly random. Most of the time it's nothing more than a puny little spike every couple of minutes or so, but occasionally (often enough to say that it'd be a hazard during a party) it lags me for up to 5 seconds, usually more.
Sometimes the game just stops acting altogether. My characters and anything on screen just stand there as if frozen in time, and from there on I can't do anything except Alt+F4 out of the game, since attempting to go back to the character selection screen results in no response as well. I'd really like to get back into heRO, but this stupid lag really is driving me away.
Wow I assumed my hotel net was the cause of lag, but I have had the EXACT same thing happen as Seph has right now.
My net is working fine, I check other pages, fine fine fine, loads about the same. But for some reason my heRO will totally freeze sometimes too and I do haveta alt+f4 it. I checked for viruses and spyware and have that cleaned up on my computer as of this date too.
Even though my hotel net hasn't ever been the BEST, I never had to alt+f4 RO out due to the game literally freezing on me.
I've had the same issue, but rather than the entire game freezing...just my character freezes where they're standing. Relogging fixes the issue, but its already happened more than a couple of times.
is the host screwing us over again even after the server was transferred??? lol i too was playing last night (PST here) around the same time as everyone else and was lagged to death (literally) in GH.
i really hope it isn't server-side again but methinks it might be...
I'm still not too sure what exactly is causing it, but it's kept me off heRO for several months now. I thought if I left for a while maybe the lag would be fixed while I was gone, but apparently that wasn't the case.
Is it possible that server needs upgrade to handle more players playing?
I dunno what our server specs can run actually so it might not be a hardware issue.
Game freezing honestly sounds like a comp/net related issue.
I haven't been having anything of the sort recently, but the times it did happen it was my comp (or net, I think it was the actual computer) being a jerkmunch :x
