RE: measure of being a pro

Quest exp doesn't count towards the one level per map.

Novice Grounds can be the single exception to the one level per map rule.

RE: measure of being a pro

Since I like to contribute irrelevent info to topics... zeni(銭) is a level of currency no longer used in Japan. It was worth 1/100th of a yen.??Can also be a generic term for money, the kanji itself is part of various words and phrases.??

I guess it could be equated to using "gold pieces" as a generic term for currency of a by-gone age? Just my guess, as stated above, a lot of games use it as generic currency. On some occassions the Korean langauge incorporates Japanese kanji, so that may be how gravity/other game companies started using it.

In regards to this challenge...you guys are crazy, I'm having enough of a time grinding my first mans to rebirth : )??This challenge reminds me of Diablo's "hardcore" server option, but worse.??Wouldn't this just promote ultra-conservative play to avoid the harsh (self-imposed/masochastic) penalties?

edit: Spelling and poring face removal.

Germanicus - 91 Crusader
Lida - 84 Ass
Garant - faint-hearted Merchant
Hakuei - 97  Monk for some damn reason.
Velonese - 77 Wizard(Generally that bastard)

It's like the survivor title on Guild Wars - you just find the most efficient fail-safe grinding and do it. :D :D :D

You think there isn't a most efficient, fail-safe way to grind on any particular map? You just need to find it for each one. Typically, in RO and most other MMOs, there's an inverse correlation between safety (in terms of risk of dying) and rate of experience gain. You just find the optimal ratio and abuse it. Just because you can't gain more than one level on any particular map (which is a terrible rule - it should be more along the lines of 3 or maybe 5) doesn't mean you can't still find an efficient way to grind.
