Socket NPC success rate on heRO?(Shirt/Pantie)

Does anyone know what the success rates on socketing are on heRO? I've check RMS, eAthena support forums, etc. and they seem to all show that the success on S-rank items is 5-10% regardles of NPC used. In specific RMS lists undershirt[1]/panties[1] at 5%, with the cost to attempt socketing at 1m+an elunium.

The reason I'm curious is that I've see those two items vended in the 9-12m range, which doesn't make sense if you are spending 1m z for a 5% chance at success, you'd lose a lot unless you are simply very lucky.

As I haven't seen these up in a week or so I was thinking of slotting some for myself, but wanted to know what my odds are going in. Thank for any responses!

well all i can say is RO is all about luck

let's put this one as an example
porc card (.03% chance)
i killed 4k + porc, never got a card
asked a friend to help kill porcs, 150+ kills, poof he got a card >.>

oh yea yea. back to the topic, why is the price only that much? well, no concrete explanation except for people claiming they can slot one in 2-3 tries 100% which is clearly... uhh. well... bah. let them be anyway, kinda not making sense now but hope some of these do xD

And yes, luck does seem to come in bursts on RO... I can feel your pain on the Porc. card, it took me approx. 5,000 nightmares to get my infiltrator (started saving their horseshoes as trophies to gauge my suffering).

I guess I was hoping there was some note somewhere about heRO/eAthena using a slightly higher socket rate ... at those chances I'll guess I'll hoard my zenny and wait for some to come on the market.

hmm. i slotted an undershirt in 8tries and a pantie on my 1st try, hope that helps ^_^

Thanks again for the responses. I did see the irowiki, but RMS has different rates, indicating the NPC for panties/undershirts(and some other things) is lower, so I was hoping someone knew exactly what it was on this server ;
