Gear Allegiance Switch Service
Quote:GM Pandora in the Server Donation/Donators thread said: a new service has been added, the change of Allegiance of 1 gear, for people who want to transfer an item from a Light account to a Dark account or vice versa without changing the Allegiance of either accounts.

Now I have two questions about this.

Firstly, how does this affect ToH wings in that they can be upgraded after a TOH to the next tier; do they go to the next generation of whatever allegiance wings they -are-, or do they go to the next tier but on the allegiance of the account that participated in TOH?

Secondly, if you want to get for instance Light allegiance TOH wings on a Dark account, must you have Light wings on another account even if you have Dark wings on your Dark account?

Thanks!

Hi.

The new gm service can only be used when transferring between a dark and a light account. You can't use it to have a light gear on a dark account, or the other way around.

You need to use 2 services at the same time, one for the allegiance change on the gear and one for the transfer.

Do I read this right, you can now have light wings on dark accounts and the other way round? If so, this would be kinda ... stupid.

Or *do* I have to pay 2 GM services if I want to be able to xfer a dark wing to a light account? If so, well ... sounds really meh to me.

Clarify please~

Ah okay. So if you have Light wings on a Light account, you can move them to a Dark account as Dark wings; and then if you wanted a certain account set of characters with wings of a different allegiance than the account has, the account must be first changed to the correct allegiance, and then the item from another account is moved...

Thanks for the quick answer!

RE: Gear Allegiance Switch Service
If I understand Salt correctly, ppl who want to have their light/dark gears transferred to another account which is opposite side will have to pay TWO GM Service: one is for full allegiance switch, one is for item transfer. -----------------> excuse my language but this is one of the most stupid thing that I've ever heard of in this server.

If i'm wrong, then Gear Allegiance Switch Service means that ppl can have light gears in dark account and vice versa --------> it means when I transferred my light wings to dark account, it would become dark wings, and I don't have to pay GM Service to switch side first.

Guess I could run around with Cursed helm and seraphim wings as a set now. Given that they accept each other for bonus like Blessed helm and Seraphim set. If they aren't compatible for bonus, then this new service is quite lame imo.

RE: Gear Allegiance Switch Service
To clarify again: You can not have light wings on a dark account or the other way around. Light accounts can only have light wings, dark accounts can only have dark wings.

Seiji, yes, two GM services are required. But the second gm service only changes the allegiance of the gear (say one pair of light wings to one pair of dark wings), not the entire account.??This is for people who don't want to change allegiance of either account. Thats the point, you now don't have to do an allegiance switch on the entire account to transfer the gear.

To be absolutely clear, this is what you can do now:
1. Account 1 is light and has a pair of angeling wings.
2. Account 2 is dark.
3. You acquire two GM services (one for item allegiance change, one for gm transfer).
4. You give the angeling wings to the GM on account 1.
5. The GM gives a pair of deviling wings to account 2.
6. All done, account 1 is still light, account 2 is still dark.

This is what you would have to do if this new gm service didn't exist:
1. Account 1 is light and has a pair of angeling wings.
2. Account 2 is dark.
3. You acquire three GM services (two for full allegiance switch, one for gm transfer).
4. You change account 1 to dark with one service, angeling wings gets turned into deviling wings.
5. You give the deviling wings to a GM.
6. The GM gives deviling wings to account 2.
7. You use the third gm service to change the first account back to light.
8. All done.

As you can see the new way is simpler and requires one less GM service.

To be honest, all in all, this seems greedy despite you made the costs cheaper.

Is it really that much work to grab a wing from an acc and create another same generation wing of the other allegiance and give it to another account that it justifies another donation service? I mean a GM has to be around for the gear exchange anyways.

So in the end, it means that the new GM Service actually requires two GM Service = buy one, pay for two. Now isn't that ridiculous?

Yea can't gms just switch the alliance of the gear while doing the regular gm transfer? (and pay for one), it's not like "much" changes ._.;
