76 Guild Titles

Suggesting allowing us to have up to 76 custom guild titles. It does require a recompile, but it's a very easy change to make.

Thoughts?

Noticed that the 2 posts are from a while back, and hoping Pandora has another take on it, especially since I run my own test server and know firsthand that it's not that troublesome. Either way, throwing it out there, I did read the sticky, thanks.

By my understanding, "recompile" involves running a compiler from a command line on a bunch of source files... that itself isn't difficult.

Remembering the changes, making sure they don't conflict with anything, and other such things EVERY time we update the SVN... That's the problem... These kinds of things like to be Magic Numbers :/

Changing svns, which changes a bunch of files that you have to sift through a lot, now that is a hassle and difficult todo. However, the process of changing this is very simple.

Go to the proper source file
Change it to 76
Open the proper file in Visual c++/whatever compiler we have for our server
Select rebuild on the map, char, and login server
Bam, done.

Takes like 5 minutes and there is very little possibility for any error =|

It seems like you guys have a very clouded view of how managing server files actually works...

Hummm... I blame the fact that the majority of my recent programing experience was in TI-BASIC...
Maybe if I was working in PHP or C more recently, I wouldn't have jumped to the magic number idea XD
