About the "New Player Test"

It's not even 5 minutes to take the stupid test, it's a low rate, if you take the time to make a few characters to party with then you'll not see Guardian for a long time as you play and trans and 99. I havnt seen that fart for awhile now. But hey you wanna leave be my guest.

Did the test at 4am in the morning with no sleep in a day and a half. only half reading the questions. Got through all of it easily. Only hold up I had the entire time was that stupid npc who asks me to type in my name...Like common sense answers most of them and for the free text parts...if you cant handle that never hope of doing well in ToH Trivia.

edit: also, for all the "newb traffic/is it really this stupid or hard" thing. yes, it's very dry and you come out of it feeling like there was a better way, but aside from the glitched two of the same choices thing the test is not hard in any way, shape, or form, unless you have short term memory lasting less than a minute. if you fail because of a typo or a misclick then I can see where it gets annoying, but patience is quite the virtue and if anything the guardian will help you learn it. for god's sake - you're playing RO, where patience in grinding, putting up with Gravity's constant nerfs, and card hunting are quite the tools.

I think some of you guys were a bit harsh with him, even if he didn't perhaps use the best approach to it he was raising a point about how our npc should not be discouraging players, which after all we indeed don't wanna do. ^_^;

well, I'm in full agreement with the GM's, since we would totally be flooded with bots should they not have the test. Yes, it can get annoying sometimes when you forget to lowercase ice wall or killsteal, or if the questions sound almost the same as the last 3, but its necessary if you want to not be hassled like a RP-er in the yahoo chat rooms. anywho, my only issue is when sometimes I make a new character and some new folk from east asia or somethin asks for help due to not being able to understand english so well. Of course I help them, but could it be possible to make a second or third NPC in different languages?

it sucks but you need to know english to join the server

if the GMs don't even speak their language, how can they communicate that they're doing a bot test?
