Anyone own a kindle?

I read a LOT. I also get hardcore eyestrain (I wear glasses) if I'm looking at backlit screens for too long. I've done a lot of research on kindle, ipad, and andriod tablets. I'm fairly certain kindle is best for my needs.

Wondering if anyone owns one. I'd like to get input from kindle owners other than from the zillion reviews I've already read. Pros, cons, all that jazz. Anything you can tell me that may be helpful. Can't afford to buy one till late Dec/early Jan so plenty of time to listen to every bit of info I can get.

lol books are the problem. I have more than we have room for in the house. I frequently go to the library too. I like the idea of having one device where I can put a ton of books without packing even more into our house.
