Question to GMs

If you sell your account to someone, and that acc is hacked, via changing the pass using the original email. Can GM's intervene if you have proof that you own it?

Didn't happen to me, just wondering.

While we allow it, we will not condone trading/sharing/selling accounts. We will not assist in these deals. We consider the owner to be the person who's e-mail is associated with the account.

To change the e-mail of an account you can file a ticket, the ticket must be filed from the e-mail that is currently associated with the account. So its probably a good idea to make sure that the old owner does this when you buy an account. Otherwise there is nothing we can do if the old owner decides to take it back.

We don't condone it because trading/sharing of accounts is unsafe by nature. What if you pay him and he doesn't give you the password? Or says he'll change the e-mail and doesn't? Normal trades are obviously safer since you both see in the trade item what you get.

What if the person did something against the rules on the old account just before selling it? If we see your ip on the account your accounts could get banned as an associated account.

Also, if you're leeching someone with the same IP as you (You're leeching someone whos on a computer in your house, in the same house). And you're both not afk, is that illegal?

lemme throw in a question too. if we are 2 different entities in my house with 2 computers but 1 net connection, is it legal if i ask my brother to afk log my jailed merchant considering that it's a shared account meaning it's also his while i play in my computer with my main account?

As far as I recall,

Two different people, two different computers, same internet connection, both not AFK is legal.

I've done it before with a friend of mine at my place. Also, I heard of guildmates who happened to be brothers doing the same thing and it was perfectly fine.

As for the afking merchant in jail, I'll let someone more knowledgeable answer that.
