Are you sure your read it right?
I've never had pieces of black clothes with that quest before (but it DO is an item for Hatter)

Maybe you just read it wrong :o?

According to the Wiki, Bat Cages aren't on the Extermination Item list either.

It is entirely possible I missed some items.
If anyone can confirm for me Bat Cages are a possible 100 item farm thing I'd definitely would put it up. :]

This month I got Suspicious Hats already, I'll try to get through the quest again on my female account and see if I can get Bat Cages.

bat cage is confirmed. Used to get them quite a lot.
Haven't done ME in a few months though, so this was before November, dunno if there were any changes.

Doubtful any extra changes have happened to the quest.
The last change I'm aware of was when they changed one of the rewards from x3 Elunium to x3 Gold. x)

Well or that the quest never changed, just that since the wiki is compiled by players, we just happened to have missed some stuff.
