SPCs are used for gears a lot as well. They're not class restricted like HWs are.


I don't believe obeaune cards are as common as HW cards, either.
Between not overly many people fishing these days (Not in comparison to before the last fishing update), as well as the fact that a lot more time and zeny go into it. (bait vs arrows. Bear in mind that while you make money back from fishing, you need to be able to afford the bait in the first place.)



As for Seals, I wasn't a GM while they were "the place" to be, so I can't really comment on that or any effect it had.
However, I am aware that there were much less hatter cards to submit back then, as well.
Perhaps lack of choice was made up in quantity? I don't know.
But now we have a lot more cards on that list.

I guess I'm just trying to say.. if you looked at how many SPC's come out of GB's per week and half it.. it would still be more than how many hillwind cards fall.

Maybe so, however, current amount of cards (including SPC)??plus HW cards still equals a damn lot more cards.
No matter what the current composition of hatter cards is at the moment, HWs will drastically increase it.

They won't magically make other hatter cards disappear from existance or make those other hatters more valuable to compensate.

I am pretty sure people are making tons of money already at hill winds, we now want to have them get an even easier access to wealth with them being hatter?

With the seals argument, by the time they came out, the next update for the server was coming out too. When it hit, seals sucked right afterwards, so having the card become hatter wasn't SO bad. It also gave everyone a chance to try the npc out (which was the main reason perhaps behind the choice). Also bear in mind we only had a pop of maybe 150 total in players then and well...seal doesn't look SO bad a choice.

A lot of circumstances fell on the Seal choice, which I can't quite justify with the Hill Wind choice. =/

@whispers, there was a fishing update that made fishers get Damp Card Albums instead of Old Card Albums. Now, instead of getting mainly worthless cards or omgwtfawesomejustwhatiwanted cards, you get mainly worthless cards that are hatters and some others. I think the OCA has a higher chance of cooler stuff anyhow, maybe, and that's why they changed it because so many people were getting OCAs from fishin'.

sprite is something i don't understand. But if you really want to, we can use the donor's wreath as main sprite and color the thing orange. Just an idea...
