Hero High Rate Temp Server!

Hiya everyone!!

Since the server will probably be off for at least a few days, I decided to host a TEMPORARY high rate server for those who want to play! The server will be up for as long as heRO is down (or at least I?ll do my best).

It?s a high rate server, and I was thinking we could have a WOE on it on Sunday. Anyone who plays a little can make a decent character very fast on a high rate server!

Here's more detail on the test server.


Rates :

1k/1k/1k

That is in detail:

Base exp X 1000
Job exp X 1000
Drops of normal items X 1000
Drops of cards X 200 (0.01 regular cards drops at about 1 out of 50 monsters).
MVP items (the item from getting the mvp) X 3
OCA/OPB/OBB/GB = same rate as hero.

Other perks: (Since it's only a temporary server I made it easy for your guys, don't get use to that however!).

Healing hp/sp naturally is 2x faster.
Players are at 50% hp/sp after death.
Players start with 100k zeny.
A free warper to most cities and dongeons! The warper is located in Prontera, as a bonus I added Seals map, bio3 and the prontera woe map (check in Others)!
A free job changer that also gives you platinum skills!
Most hero NPC are at their usual spot.


Player commands:

@go (type @go followed by the name or number of a city, example ?@go 0? gets you to Prontera you could also type ?@go prontera? or ?@go p? if you are lazy.)
Your usual @mi, @ii, @time
The Main chat.
@Autoloot is not working so well, sorry I don't know how to fix it.


How to install:

So.. If you want to play on the temporary server, here is a step-bystep guide of what you MUST do if you wanna play on the temp server (dont skip any of those if you want it to work correctly).

Warning: if you are not at easy with basic computer stuff, I suggest you wait until the hero server comes back up and not modify your RO files.

1- Go into your RO folder, by default it should be ?C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO?
Check if you have a folder called ?data? in your RO folder.
If you do, rename or delete the one that you currently have.

2- Download this file:

3- Extract it into your RO folder.
Her2.exe should be directly in your RO folder and you should have a data folder.
The link to your data folder should then be ?C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO\data?
Note: you will need to remove/rename that data folder once the hero server is back on!

4- Go into your RO folder and start the file ?heR2.exe?
This will open a RO client.

5- Decide on the username you want to have and if you want to have a female or male account, then enter the desired user name, followed by _M or _F (those are capital M and F).

For example if you want your login name to be ?poring? and your account to be male you would enter in the username box: poring_M

For example if you want your login name to be ?Pandora? and your account to be female you would enter: Pandora_F as your login name.
(It?s gonna say that it?s already taken however, cuz that?s my login XD)

Enter the desired password.
Note: On the test server, the passwords are not encrypted, so you might want to choose a different password than on the hero server.

Hit enter and you?ll log in and you can create your character(s).

When you?ll want to login for the second time, remove the ?_F? or ?_M? at the end of your login name.

Should you want to delete one of your player, the email to enter is a@a.com.

I?ll do my best to keep the server up. You might experience crash from time to time, because it?s not very stable and what you see may be different then what other people see, I?m sorry about those little things, I did my best on short notice.

It is possible it doesnt work for you, if so post about it in this thread only please. Don't send any support ticket. But since this is temporary, I probably will not be doing a ton of support.

YAy GM pandroa for the highrate temp server but I gots a slight technical difficulty with creating an account cause when I try to do an underscore I get an = symbol I tried to resolve the problem but I don't seem to be able to so perhaps if you could create my account wich I would pm all the info needed to you I would be much obliged

How do you get an equals when you try to make a _ ? :o
I have an = button next to my - + shift button to make _ .
- + shift = _ .

Does that help any or do I need to go back to sleep?

Here is a data folder that will help solve the NO MSG on all items and also shows you the gunslinger items as well, so you can get rid of them from your inventory. Just extract it and replace it with the old heR2 data folder.

I created his account for him, dont know how he could get the = either, maybe he's got weird keyboard setting.

The server stayed up all night, woot! I was afraid it would crash while I was asleep.

I'll be gone for most of the day, I hope to get the same luck!

the heR2 client doesnt even open up..i can double click all day and it does nothing

It worked fine till i changed job for taewkwon, it made the game crash. I restarted the game, but now i cant log into the account i created
