After the next Wednesday WoE, castles will rotate! It will take place either an hour after WoE ends, or the day after (Thursday). Geffen and Aldebaran Castles #2 are up next!

For both GM and player reference (mostly because I forget), the next castles to open are Geffen 3 and Aldebaran 3.

There will be a server maintenance on Thursday to do a castle rotation and get rid of the Christmas quest. The next castles to open are Geffen 3 and Aldebaran 3!

Prontera and Payon 4 have opened to be the current castles. The next rotation will be in July for Geffen 5 and Aldebaran 5.

In even bigger news, we'll be changing up the WoE point shop in the very near future, along with adjusting WoE points which affects both WoE and Battlegrounds. We hope that the new point system and new shop will further contribute to the resources required in WoE, so that all players can have a bit easier of a time to sustain multiple participation of WoE in our server.

• For each minute of WoE, your WoE point will increase from 1 point per minute to 4 points per minute (you still need to manually register)
• Battleground Keys requirement for BG will be removed. BG will only cost zeny.
• Free BG per hour will be removed; instead players can BG whenever they want
• Due to the removal of free BG, there's no time restriction on when BG can start anymore
• Existing Battleground keys will be changed to a consumable to refund your WoE points
  

The WoE Shop for consumables will change to have the following items at new costs:

• Condensed White Potion Box (10 Condensed White Potions): 2 points
• War Blue Potion Box (10 War Blue Potion): 5 points
• Bless/Agi Scroll Bundle (Contains 10 of each): 5 points (no change)
• AD Bottles Box (Contains 25 of each): 8 points
• Poison Bottle: 5 points
• Cobweb Box (Contains 50): 10 points (no change)
• Speed Potion Box (Contains 10): 50 points (no change)
• Storage Crystal: 5 points
• Guild Megaphone: 10 points (no change)
• Glistening Coats Box (Contains 15): 3 points
• Yellow Gemstone Box (Contains 30): 3 points
• Red Gemstone Box (Contains 30): 3 points
  

WoE Item Rebalance

• War Blue Potion will weight 1, down from 14
  

War Blue Potion will be the only WoE restricted items, to be considerate to Alchemist's blue potion brewing. The shops will provide items that's usable outside of WoE. We recognize that not everyone who participates in Battlegrounds will be in WoE, and if players may see WoE as a way to obtain resources for PvM, then they should be free to do so.


It has been a long time since heRO GM team looked at PvP/GvG aspect of the game. We hope that we'll start with this small change, and hope to have some bigger shakeup in the GvG scene in year 2021 by the summer time.

Effective by next Saturday War of Emperium, the following costumes will be banned on GvG maps, including War of Emperiums:

- Costume Fool's Day
- Costume Jack Mask
- Costume Tormenting Spirit
- Costume Cute Octopus Balloon
- Costume Santa Poring Balloon
- Costume Birthday Balloon
- Costume Big Wedding Veil
- Costume Guild Recruiting Hat KOJ
- Costume Deviruchi Balloon
- Costume Rainbow
- Costume Rain Cloud
- Costume Lightning Cloud
- Costume BF recruiter hat
- Costume GF recruiter hat
- Costume Twinkle Little Star
- Costume Blazing Sun
- Costume Banshee Master Kiss

A server reboot will take place some time after midnight on Saturday so that this will be put into effect by WoE.

These costumes are a little "too big" to the possibility of covering another player to "protect" them via sprite blocking. That is not the intention of costumes in a gvg setting. Any "large" costumes in the future will also join this list.

While it's possible for a player to wear the "real" hat to do the same thing, at least it comes with the downside of using these hats which are typically not gvg competitive in their stats and effects, which is considered a "fine" drawback if someone intends to use these hats for sprite blocking reasons.


GM team will continue to monitor the situation, and adjust as necessary. If players see any other hats that should qualify on this list, please feel free to make suggestions.

In the past, there's no official policy regarding this since server crashes are rare, but we've had more crashes in the last 4 months than the previous 14 years combined. In light of this, we'll make the following policy official:



In the occurrence of a server crash/reboot between midnight and 12:00 noon and the guild leader did not have the opportunity to pick up the treasures, the guild leader may contact the GMs within 12 hours with a screenshot of the castle's economy score. GMs will spawn chests manually as compensations. In the case of a server crash/reboot taking place between 12:00 noon to 23:59 of a day, then no compensations will be given.
