September is Muscular Dystrophy Awareness month. Over 50,000 Canadians are affected by a neuromuscular disorder.

Two of my friends created this video for Muscular Dystrophy Canada, and they're trying to get it to go viral! They would appreciate it if you can watch and re-post.

Ah yes. I used to work with a client who is diagnosed with it. Troubling conditions, and death can strike anytime.

For anyone who isn't aware of it or about it, it is basically a progressive disease that weakens the muscle.

A simple description for MD is the "Stephen Hawking disease". That's how I've had to describe it to people last month when we were doing a fund raiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

MD is horrible and I'm surprised at how few people are aware of it. I had a friend whose dad was diagnosed with it, so I had a pretty early education.
