Kill stuff. Get drops. Sell drops.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

If you get something rare, consider if you want to use it or sell it to another player.

Pretty much all you can do there.

You can buy meats in some towns to have a cheaper healing item option till you can afford white pots. Granted...meat is heavy but it could help you a ton early on. :O

You could do what some people do, and make/delete/remake novices and get more and more novice potions. If you'd be willing to settle for Red Potions, there's an NPC in Aldebaran that'd trade 1 worm peeling (common drop in the culverts) for 1 red potion. Otherwise there's an NPC inside the merchant guild in alberta who'd make potions for 2 herbs of the color potion you want and an empty bottle that'd be 100% success rate.

^ Do the above, its helpful early on.

Also, 2 blue herbs+ 1 bottle= about 2700ish with overcharge to an npc. Its great cash, if you take the time to hunt herbs and not eat them.
