Have you ever heard of Boot Camp?
Install Window on a flask drive with sufficient space and play on there.

You can't play windows files on a mac, try what Seiji suggested, we have several topics related to this.

A mini mac? I would not recommend playing RO on your mac then.
Why? Because you can messily ruin your graphic card.
-How? Because even installing window, it doesn't really register the fan of your mac, thus it will overheat easily. Solution? Add a fan control.
Issue: even with the fan control, somehow windows tend to overheat Mac very very fast.

So in the long run, playing RO very so often will eventually ruin your hard drive because you are running Windows.

Windows =/= Mac
(Mac> Windows (Yes, I plan to start the whole uproar.))

My opinion is play TF2, haha. =x Anyways...

~~~~~
Bottom Line:
You can run RO with using Bootcamp/Emu/Wine but Mac mini/Macbooks are not recommended for boot camping/wine(ing) games. You can ruin the hardware pretty easily.
If you have a Mac Pro, well, that is a different story, it is not so "compact" and you can always add more to the cooling system.
-----
I would say, get a dinky netbook to run RO if that is the only game you are planning to play , if not get a PC for your Windows.
Because Windows sucks!??\o/
I still don't get why it's the favored operating system.??Is it because Macs cost more?
MACS COST MORE BECAUSE THEY ARE BETTER.??PERIOD.
Anyway, as Apples said, you're SOL with your Minimac problem. Buy a Big Mac or cheap PC [I mean PC]. Evil
RE: Hero Server on MAC OS
windows works just fine and almost everything fun is made for it.
cons: pay more money, have to deal with running windows programs on mac, never use said mac for the reasons the mac is better than windows, almost total inability to customize your own computer, etc etc;
pros: yay it's a mac, it doesn't get viruses since they're made for windows. if you actually use a mac just for the reasons a mac is better, then hooyeah, use it.
Allright, I'll respond. If mac sucks, why is everything useful and fun made for Windows? For example, League of Legends, over 15 million players, deleted their mac client and no longer support it (also rumored the servers refuse connections from it). Why? Cause no one uses it. Everyone uses Windows.
You do realize the "best" is decided by markets? Since Windows DESTROYS OSX annually, kinda sends the message, Windows is the best. Yes it has bugs, so does OSX. Windows is also the most widely accepted OS as well. Why? HMM I WONDER.
And yes, pricing IS an issue. Why would I buy a mac when I can buy a PC and install OSX for graphic design programs? Which, might I add, is about the only good thing Mac's are for. And for hippies.
Know what beats Windows? Linux. Why? Just about everything. You fanboys are so silly.
(Btw, your OSX is Linux. But they're charging you $1k+ for it. And you're stupid enough to buy it.)
