If it's a pet without an owner, then that probably means it was starving and ran away.

That poor pet. I've seen so many times where an owner has either lost or abandoned their pet. Its so sad but I am glad you are trying to find this poporing's owner. Icon_biggrin

This happened to me once. It was just my Siroma stuck on something in Anubis. As soon as I relogged it came to me. Perhaps the same thing happened here? And I had no idea that pets that ran away just randomly walk around the map. I thought they just went poof.
