I just saw the second movie today(dubbed in english) and I saw the first when it came out before. This first movie was good I thought, the second.. It was just "okay", I didn't really like the ending of it.. And Rem was a dude! So weird!

My favourite thing about the movie was L's mask. I want that for Halloween!

Oh but come on, N and M were ridiculous, I started disliking the anime after they appeared. -_-'
And it's sad that they only made 2 movies to tell the whole story so they skipped a lot of stuff and even changed others. =/
Maybe if they made a trilogy, it'd be better. Even so, I liked the movies.

@Lucky Death Note was in order: a manga, an anime and a live action movie, so it's not too strange.

I liked the movie, specially L he is sooooo fitting, even tough they butchered the story A LOT and merged characters and whatnot. I preferred the anime however.

awwwww spoilerssssssss nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! ~cries~ my b/f and I are going to see the 2nd movie tonight...and we hadn't watched all of the anime (though it obviously doesn't follow the anime that closely)

*mini spoilers XD* I didn't mind Mello(I love that he brings Matt in <3) but I hated N. I agree the anime had the better ending compared to the two, but the movies didn't suck! Like I said before I liked the first one but not really the second because of the mashed up ending. Uhm.. Are you guys really sure about that? I thought they started the live-action movies BEFORE the anime show? So how could it ruin the anime if the movie came first? ~_~ (I need to go look up the dates again!) If we're going to talk about what adaptations screwed over what, we should probably compare them to the manga itself, then we could say "The film didn't follow the manga, but the anime did!"(Maybe, although this would be in the wrong area, and I haven't had a chance to read it yet so I wouldn't know if it followed or not. XD)

I agree with you Kohaku. =( It probably would have been better if they spread the story out more.(I really wanted to see some of Yotsuba Corp..) They made a spinoff movie called
"L: Change the World", but I heard that it wasn't very good.
