refine guide

Hi I want to make a +10 garment for a chung e card. Also other lesser items. I just broke 2 (+7 garments) using enriched. Can a nice GM or other normal??ppl please post a success rate for various upgrade chances (for both enriched/not enriched and WS), that is applicable for this server. Since I am told that this one is only for renewal.

RE: refine guide

Use the non-renewal version:

http://irowiki.org/classic/Refinement_System

It should be fairly accurate to use as a rough estimate.

RE: refine guide

I have been told by people on this server that enriched elu/ori gives you a double roll for an upgrade attempt. That is, it attempts to upgrade an item twice if it fails on the first roll it will try again. It this true?

Just @who2 Menace ingame. You should find me if I'm on. thanks!

RE: refine guide

Nope, enriched ores only give you a higher refining success chance.

RE: refine guide

Umm... actually, i must say, i believe it's 2 dice rolls for success. Just know that they come not one after another but at he same time (as in if at least one succeeds you get refine done).
Well, i guess it'll need some GM's word on it then ^_^

RE: refine guide

Two dice rolls WOULD give you a higher success chance so I'm not sure how you prove it without the code running behind it.??Either way the link Radolf provided will be your best guide since its numbers for increased success chance approximate the value you would observe if you simply got two rolls at success.??For example:

Base Success for +6 -> +7: 40%
iRO Wiki Enriched Rate Reported +6 -> +7: 60%

Two Rolls: First is 40%, Second is effectively a 60% chance (based on failure of the first roll) for a 40% chance.??So there's a cumulative 24% chance to succeed on the second roll (because 40% of the time you won't need it).??40+24 = 64.??Pretty close to the iROWiki numbers.

Rather than obsessing over it, I'd just go with iROWiki unless you get a GM response.??

RE: refine guide

So this is it. I hope.

Success chance with enriched metals
Success chances using Enriched Oridecon/Elunium are:
Upgrade Lv. 1 Lv. 2 Lv. 3 Lv. 4 Armor
+4 -> +5 100% 100% 100% 90% 90%
+5 -> +6 100% 100% 90% 60% 60%
+6 -> +7 100% 90% 75% 60% 60%
+7 -> +8 90% 60% 30% 30% 30%
+8 -> +9 60% 30% 30% 30% 30%
+9 -> +10 20% 20% 20% 10% 10%

RE: refine guide

I've been wondering about this too actually!

I definitely think someone should try refining something somewhat cheap (as to not waste zeny /no1Icon_wink 100 times with the enriched ores (oridecons and eluniums each) and record the amount of successes and failures so we can get a rough probability. Icon_biggrin

/slightly sarcastic, although if someone is actually willing to do it, that would be awesome too/

RE: refine guide

Well, unless GMs made a special change to the pre-made refiner code, i think it's 2 dice rolls based on script behind it. Well, at least he follows the one i have to the lack of some punctuation :D

RE: refine guide

If one consider how rare this ores actually is & other alternatives dwindling auction options & donation. I should maybe donate.

The price for the enriched elunium/oridecon is just like sad consider how much it helps. Regardless contact me in game for refine @ 10m each.
