It's pretty equal actually, but maybe a little more light people. Dark side still won the mass battle in the last toh however, sometimes its not just about the quantity.
you don't have to do that, i am on light and have always fought on the side of dark ( no idea why, circumstances have always place me on the dark side)

I was expecting a terribly one sided battle that I could attempt to level, but here all I have is a balanced struggle that I most likely won't affect much. soo... What are the benefits of each side? Is there a different section for each? Or should I just follow my dementia and go with dark or follow with my zealous nature and join the light? I know not. Now I must spend a day pondering the meaning of the universe before I can choose. Jeez, kthxbai.

Well, there aren't much benefit to being either way, in an attempt to let people truely decide their allegiance based on personal preference the custom gears for light give the same bonus as their dark counterparts, and quests are similar (not 100% the same), if we made either side too easy or too strong, it would become unbalanced and people would choose their allegiance for the wrong reasons.
no dark has won previous ones, I know since I've been in both that light lost... but then again this last one there was uber lag and a very small playing field... So as it can be shown location > number of people It was a fun loss though
