Let's start with HW then.

The classic build that people use is 99/99/25, where 25 is vit or agi.

99 DEX is mandatory, is useless said why.
99 INT is meh: you should get a multiple of 10 INT with the bonus (like 99+21 INT or 93+17 INT) for make your build precise, but for pvm won't chang a lot.
25 VIT or AGI? People get VIT normally, but AGI reduces A BIT the after-cast, so this is a your choice.

The skill that you should get are Amplify 10, SG 10, Jupitel 10, MS 10 and Quagmire 5, plus SW 10 from magician's tree. Decide you for the other skill: personally I got all pvp skill and I send to hell LoV, skill useless for me (just for a place is good, but is useless speak here).

Now start with gears.
The majority of times u will run the ramen hat: too good. One other good choice is a hat slotted with isilla (glarice, dark rangris helm, thor's wings, ect.) and personally I got one with marduk and ungloant too, for all mments.

The v4p offer you so many mid hatters: filir, sigrun, ifrit, robo, glasses, bla bla.

For low just run a white tie or a backpack.

I run always an orlean's Uniform with HW for get no break cast and for this I got orleans with rocker (enchated DEX+3) for general, Pasana and Bathory.

About weapons I got my beatiful rods <3
SoP, +9 lbw [necro, necro] (I use necro bcs my main is the prof, but u can use the laurell cards or do like my friend and get two +9 lbw, one with laurells and one with ferus) and the Survivor's Rod.

Now start the problem...
The best set that a HW can use is the orcus set, but maybe it is too expensive for you...

The Orlean Server is enough easy to drop and I suggest you to get one with hodre.

If you can't get Orcus Set, get any slot set (diablos set, wool set) and use noxious and salamander on garment and GF/Matyr or something else on shoes.


The accessory are very ery essential: you should get the orlean glove and the harthoon both with zerom, but if you can't get them right now you should start with any accessory that gives DEX+1 slotted (glove or linen glove) in 2x, both carded zerom.

I start to tell that I don't have gypsy, but build one for pvm is easy.

You want gypsy for support party like SP battery, right?

Then the stats are 99 base INT, 97 o 100 total VIT the rest in agi or dex (AGI for pdfg, DEX for what else, I prefer AGI).

The skills are: SP Song 10, pdfg 10, all passive for buff songs, tarot 5 and scream 5, the rest is random (musical strike at 1 for tap).

The gear too are simple: use two sets, one full INT and one tanker.

Full INT is like morpheus' set and othr gears that gives int, tank set is magni's set or something that gives HP and/or DEF.

For Wizard/High Wizard:

The statement about multiples of 10 for INT is incorrect. MATK is calculated using INT+(INT/5)^2 for Max and INT+(INT/7)^2 for Min MATK values (giving the range displayed on character sheet). This means that to really maximize the effectiveness of your INT you should go in multiples of 7 or 5 (or preferably both). 35, 70, 105, or 140 are all good INT totals to shoot for in terms of maximizing MATK per point invested.

Obviously 35 and 70 are far too low for a HWiz. 105 might work for solo PvM allowing you to focus on getting 99 Dex and the rest in Vit. For party play, however, you should shoot for something higher. Not everyone can get to 140, but adding 7's to 105 (112, 119, 126, 133) can all be good for raising the minimum of your MATK range efficiently to keep you from getting low numbers.
