The Chronicle of Heroes ~ Of Fiends and Shadows

A year of struggles came to an end today, as a large group of heroes lead by Agent Selene ventured into the depths of Glast Heim to battle Dark Lord. Accompanying her was Lord Matthew, who apparently was working undercover for the government since the resurrection of Ostellos, unbeknownst to just about everyone.

The battle was fierce, and many lives were lost, but Dark Lord was finally defeated and sent back through the Demon Mirror. However, that was not the end, as the heroes were dragged to the fiend realm by an unknown entity.

After much wandering around and even a battle against a dragon, the heroes were attacked by Beelzebub, who expressed satisfaction at the fact that his ally Dark Lord had been defeated. He was now free to do what he wanted, how he wanted it, and his intent was to return his world to its former glory, using Midgard's people as the tools for it.

The battle seemed to be lost, with Beelzebub striking down all targets he set his sights on, but another unknown entity interrupted the fight. In a flash, all heroes, and beelzebub himself were transported to what could only be described as the edge of the universe. Now away from the fiend realm, Beelzebub's powers weren't limitless, and so he was eventually defeated.

The agents under Agent Selene that remained in Glast Heim shattered the mirror upon hearing of her and the heroes' successful return. Each piece was given to the main governments involved in these recent ordeals: Rune-Midgard, Schwartzvald, Arunafeltz, and Fairyland.

Having been acting as an undercover asset, Lord Matthew will obviously not be tried in a court of law for his actions within Eudoxie's troops. He has since returned to his residence in Niflheim, and according to Sir Melot, wishes to remain away from the spotlight for the time being. As for Agent Selene Winterfield, she has told us she will continue to act as the head of the Anti-Terrorism Task Force, but rumors out and about say she might get a huge promotion.



These past two hears have been full of turmoil. The usurping of the throne of Fairyland and consequent invasion of Rune-Midgard, Kushiel's quest for retribution against the Light Allegiance, Eudoxie and Ostellos' attacks on Fairyland Palace, Rachel, Lutia, and Geffen, and then Dark Lord's liberation. Each of these have taken their particular toll on the world. With the conclusion of the most recent events, reconstruction is now in order, and hopes are high for peace to reign again.

This concludes the "Of Fiends and Shadows" story! Thanks for joining the event, heroes, and for bearing all hardships each of these stories and events brought!

The current customized Glast Heim will remain largely the same at least until August. Once it returns to its normal version, Midnight Jack, Hanz Von Abendroth, and Lich Afanasy will remain in the dungeon as permanent spawns.

Regarding Chronicle Events, there will not be any for some time, as the GM and Test and Dev Teams will be working hard on other projects, mainly the rebuilding of Fairyland, which has been long due.
