Helping our own GM-Ciar (Please read!)

Most of you probably know that Hurricane Maria hit the caribbean sea pretty badly these past few days. If you don't, I guess you've been living under a rock. Tune-in to your favorite news source as they will give a more detailed and up to date information than I can.

Our wonderful GM-Ciar lives in Puerto Rico, and this island was devastated by the hurricane. We've had no news of him since the hurricane hit. What we do know is that, as of writting this, the whole island is without electricity and could be without it for months and many areas are also without running water.

I want to help him and I'm hoping some of you will too.

I plan on sending him money and possibly stuff too. I will be accepting donations for 1 week, from today until October 1st at 11:00 PM. I will ensure that all donations get to him, I'm not sure when since the postal service is currently down, but I will send it that is a promise. Once he comes back online GM-Ciar will be able to attest to it. On top of my own donation I will cover all postal fees, paypal fees and the fees of the bank or postal office (depending if I send a check or postal money order). In short, every dollar you send will be for him.

I know that between Harvey, Irma and Maria a lot of people are in need help and most of you are probably being solicited elsewhere. Personally, I feel better helping someone I know directly, so my efforts are going to GM-Ciar. He cares a lot about this server and works very hard for it. Show him your kindness in return. If you cannot afford to send funds you can leave a message in this thread, I'm sure he will read them once he regains power/internet.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far, I've updated the list in the first post.

Still no news from him but it's not surprising as communications are still down in Puerto Rico, we'll let you know when we get words from him.

We've decided to sweeten the deal, all donations of $20 will continue to give the Parrot Hat, but now on top of it the person will ALSO receive regular donation rewards (which are listed here).

Donations for Ciar however do not count towards your total donated to the server and obviously will not be doubled on october 1st. To avoid confusion the double-donation promotion which we had previously announced will start on october 2nd.
