A sudden attack on Caerulia's Palace by Amdusias took place earlier today. Lucretia, who was allegedly living there by herself after differences with Pixie over the dreamstone core scandal, quickly gathered the town's guards and some volunteers to defend the palace.

They rushed through the palace grounds, fighting Andromallius, Cimeies, and a new powerful ally of Amdusias: Crocell, a woman who, according to Lucretia, was just recently an employee at Carandel Palace. She was apparently responsible for stealing and giving to her now lover Andromallius the dreamstone armor that held Amdusias' spirit.

Zealot after zealot, they fell or escaped after several long fights, and in the end, the palace was protected from the rebels, but a question still lingered in Lucretia's mind when we interviewed her today: How did Amdusias' spirit escape from the Dreamstone armor he was trapped in? Is it possible that spirits can be released from the stone?

These questions, it seems, might be answered sooner, rather than later.

As people gathered in Fortuna for the usual daily dose of adventuring this morning, one of Princess Lucretia's bodyguards showed up to inform they had been summoned by the princess.

Not on speaking terms with Pixie over the indisclosure of Faeheim's Dreamstone Core's grip on fairy souls, Lucretia requested protection from the adventurers, whom she had come to trust after being front and center in the recent conflicts. Uneasiness spread fast as the adventurers learned the princess was asked by Altjyhra to meet later on, claiming he could help with the fairies' conundrum. Regardless, the heroes agreed to accompany Lucretia, and left Caerulia palace for the Hoomga Jungle, where the meeting was to take place.

Alone in the jungle, Altjyhra revealed he was able to assist with the fairies' dreamstone situation using magic and science from the Demon Realm. He would extract all the souls trapped in the dreamstone core, in exchange for the core itself when done. The Unknown planned to use the core to leave this world for a place known as the Dream Realm, where they can finally live out the rest of their lives in peace.

Not easily convinced, the adventurers questioned The Unknown's truthfulnes and motives. After much explanation, everyone understood there was no other way. If not by surviving in the realm of dreams, The Unknown feed on magic energies from dreamstone, but as they are almost all drained out, they must feed as most other living being does, but in way higher amounts. And, like Pixie, Altjyhra was losing favor with his people for his passiveness. The tables were turning. He feared he would be deposed by the previous leader of The Unknown, whom he had deposed first, after centuries of war with no positive outcome.

They couldn't just sneak a huge crystal out of Carandel Palace however. Instead, Lucretia asked the heroes to convince Pixie. She couldn't do it herself, because Pixie sees her sister as biased towards Altjyhra. With the help of their mother, Queen Pima, the adventurers were granted an emergency audience with Queen Pixie. Unfortunately, she had company.

Agent Selene Winterfield, head of the International Peacekeeper Force, previously the Anti-Terrorism Task Force, had been recently tasked to provide assistance to Faeheim in the recent conflicts, at the request of Pixie and other nations' leaders. As the wife of the late Agent Adelaide Adlersflugel, head of the previous version of the task force, she was an influential figure. Unconvinced by the adventurers' words, she constantly made Pixie think twice about relinquishing the core. But to her disappointment, Lady Pima stepped in, explaining to the group how Pixie is too attached to the core, as she believes her Father, the deceased King Farmond, is trapped within.

Pixie, embarrassed by her mother's actions, then proceeded to explain further. Apparently, the golemancer and light extremist Kushiel gave Amdusias a method of extracting spirits so he could revive himself, but Amaria never learned the information, only that there were indeed spirits trapped inside, which she informed Pixie some time after Kushiel was defeated. Amaria researched the core, mostly so Pixie could speak to King Farmond. He had died in the war against The Unknown while Pixie and Lucretia were practically newborns and Pima was pregnant with Pico, so neither of his children ever met him. This weighed heavily on the queen's mind.

After long explanations to Pixie on how The Unknown can release the spirits from the core, and how Altjyhra is losing favor with his people as well, she agreed to hand over the core, but under certain conditions:

1. The Unknown must divulge the secret of removing spirits bound to dreamstone.

2. Amaria's backup files must be obtained and she must be rebuilt to be able to produce a method of mass spirit removal.

3. The spirit extraction process must be tested to ensure it works, before handing over the stone to The Unknown. Pixie will attempt to contact her father this way.

4. Upon The Unknown's attainment of the core, they must leave wherever it is they want to go to, and agree to never again threaten any other nation of Midgard, or they will be set upon by "devastation never before seen in modern times".

Having come to an agreement, Pixie then made preparations for a press conference happening later today, to announce these updates. It is expected that Amdusias and his radical group will not take the news kindly, but with Amaria's return coming soon, Faeheim's defenses will be at their peak again.

As agreed by Pixie, Lucretia and The Unknown, before allowing the Demon Realm refugees to use the Dreamstone core, the kingdom had to bring back the Defense Systems administrator, Amaria. She made constant back-ups of herself, with full memories, so she would know remember everything when broughtback, even the moments leading up to her demise.

A crew of fairies was assembled by Cynbel to retrieve the backup from Amaria's laboratory island, but hours had passed without any news from them, so Queen Pixie asked Agent Selene Winterfield of the International Peacekeeping forces to find out what was going on.

As usual, a group of volunteers signed up for the job, and they head out along with Winterfield for the lab. Upon arriving, they found the place had been utterly trashed, with General Cynbel and his troops knocked out. Upon coming to his senses, Cynbel explained that Crocell, follower of Amdusias, ambushed them after rewiring the golems to attack the group. Seemingly distrustful of Agent Winterfield, he tagged along despite his injuries.

Further into the destroyed laboratory, they encountered Crocell, and as expected, a fight broke out, but the ninja fled after being unable to defeat the heroes for the second time in about two weeks. At what used to be the central room, a decoy version of Amaria fought the group as well, and was destroyed, finally allowing access to the backup.

Now, with Amaria's improved new form and Faeheim's defenses at peak again, the next step is for the Fae to meet The Unknown to learn how to release the souls trapped in the dreamstone core. As explained in the past, spirits released will not move on to the next world right away. They must be put to rest.

Though the war with The Unknown has been avoided, more violence is expected, this time between fallen fairies, and the living.

"Status report?"

"From what I gathered, they've only used the stone for harnessing energy."

"Are you certain? You've already failed to get her to relinquish it to the Peacekeeper Force."

"Pixie tells me a lot, and allows a lot from me. Other nations are safe."

"For the safety of all of us... I hope this is all over with soon. We'll be pushing to have the core destroyed at the end of all this."

"Yes, my king."

"And, I shouldn't have to say this, but... don't get any ideas about the core. The dead should stay dead. You won't find any closure otherwise..."

Deep in the jungle of the old Faeheim Archipelago, a heated argument took place.

"Weak, pathetic, sniveling, coward of a leader!!" A winged fiend barked at a more familiar being.

"Altjyhra's gotten us the closest to the core as we've ever been. Want to spend the rest of your life fighting a war you keep losing? Be my guest!" Another winged creature furiously yelled back, before being interrupted by the subject of the controversy.

"Let them hate me, Abyza. They'll understand in the end, that it was for our survival." Altjyhra replied, with his back facing towards the angry mob.

"For your sake, you should hope you are right..." Another nearby creature growled at him.

Altjyhra and Abyza, his only supporter in these times, left the scene. His detractors, many of the group, continue to argue amongst themselves on the next course of action, should things go wrong.

A raid on a warehouse in the Caerulia Sky Islands occurred yesterday in the late afternoon. The attack, lead by General Cynbel and Agent Selene Winterfield of the International Peacekeeper Force, ended with the capture of the rebel fugitive Andromallius, and the re-killing of Amdusias. Nearly every other accomplice assisting the criminal group was arrested on the skyland as well, practically ending the extremist renegade group.

Sources of The Midgard Times indicate the authorities are currently interrogating Andromallius for information regarding the release of fairy souls from dreamstone, as it is suspected he is responsible for using Kushiel's research to bring back Amdusias.

While two of the heads of the organization, Cimeies and Crocell, remain on the run, it is expected with their allies gone, they won't remain hidden for long.

The next event is scheduled for Saturday, November 17th, 2018 at 8:00 PM, provided there is a reboot before then. A patch will be released this week to prepare for it. The event is expected to last approximately 2 hours and include both RP and PVM.


Meanwhile, there is this short event: For the Dreamstone Core experiment that will be taking place next Saturday, Carandel Palace has posted a request for several ingredients. Anyone who has the items can exchange them to GM-Ciar for prizes.

To hand in a set of items, please post a screenshot on this thread with the required amount of items in your inventory, and don't forget to mention your character name! The first people that do will be PM'd by GM-Ciar ingame during the following days to complete the trade.
