March ToH: Allegiance Team Arena Returns!

After a ToH where we level the playing field with novices, the team arena returns this time in March once again!

Differences between Dec ToH and March ToH will be bolded.

There will be a maximum of 25 rounds. For each round, the host GM will announce the number of players, ranging from 1 (solo battle) to 4, that each allegiance will send out to participate. Each allegiance's team will take turns to enter the arena to fight the monsters awaiting for the team. The monsters that each allegiance fight will be identical. If an allegiance's team wins against the monsters, but the opposite allegiance's team loses, then a point will be awarded to the allegiance. The first allegiance to reach 3 points will be declared the winner!

However, once a player participates for a round, s/he cannot participate again until everyone else in the allegiance has participated/contributed. Therefore, the Team Monster Arena will measure the average strength of all participants for an allegiance. While a higher number of participants will grant more class diversity, but it will be the quality of all players that matter instead of sheer number.

The winning allegiance will have a better reward. In addition, if the allegiance with a lower number of participants wins the Trial of Heroes, there is a special underdog reward.


Entry Requirement
  • Level 90 or higher
  • 50 allegiance point for your allegiance
  • You cannot switch characters once you decided to enter the trial of heroes

Time
Saturday March 27th, server time 21:00.

All participants will get these rewards.

Dark Allegiance Reward
If the Dark Allegiance wins, Dark Allegiance members will win
  • ToH Voucher
  • 5 Enriched Ore
  • Costume Dark Stylish Cap
  • 50 Prize Medal

Light Allegiance Reward
If the Light Allegiance wins, Light Allegiance members will win
  • 3 ToH Voucher (2 extra vouchers from Jan + Feb)
  • 50 Prize Medal

Note: the underdog bonus has been reworked to allegiance specific reward. The allegiance that is losing will "accumulate" their ToH voucher until they win. The winning allegiance will win other bonuses instead of extra vouchers.

Event Details
  • Once the first round begins, you cannot join the event.
  • For each round, the GM will announce the number of players that each allegiance must send out for the round. The number of players will range from 1 to 4.
  • The Dark Allegiance will go first whenever the 2 allegiances have the same amount of points in this Trial of Heroes.
  • Whenever an allegiance has more point than the other, then the winning allegiance will go first.
  • The allegiance that goes second only have to choose their team for the round after hearing the results of the round for the other allegiance (Eg. The first allegiance lost with a team of high wizard, clown and professor. The allegiance that goes second can use this information to their advantage to send an appropriate team.)
  • The allegiance team will enter a portal to the arena to fight the monsters within.
  • The portal will dispel all buffs (including item buffs) upon entry
  • A monster's placement is randomized within the arena. If monsters happen to be camping the spawn point, that is an ill fortune the allegiance teams will have to deal with.
  • The arena is a circle with spectators in the middle. The center area can be used to try to lose line of sight with monsters.
  • There are no water tiles for waterball
  • There's no restrictions at all regarding what monsters will be in the arena. They can be normal monsters, boss monsters, event monsters or customized monsters.
  • As the rounds go on, it is generally considered to increase in difficulty
  • GM will NOT announce what monsters will be present for a round
  • Monsters give full exp and items in the arena. There will be no exp loss for dying in the arena.
  • Using a banned skill/item in the arena will automatically count as a loss for the team.
  • If a team is found to be "stalling", not actually engaging against the monsters, the GM will warn that the team must engage the monsters. If the team continues to stall, GM will nuke the team and it will count as a loss.
  • All players may access kafra, healer, repairer in-between rounds.
  • Once a player has participated in a round, s/he must sit out until every other member within the same allegiance has participated in an equal amount of rounds. Only by then, can the player participate again for a round.
  • If both allegiances win or lose against the monsters, neither team gets any points
  • Whenever an allegiance gets 3 points, the event ends and the allegiance with 3 points win
  • If neither allegiance has 3 points by round 25, then the allegiance with more points will win.
  • If the allegiances tie in points by round 25, then it is considered a Light Allegiance victory.
  • You must be present for all rounds of the event to get rewards.
  • You cannot trade items to teammates to share gears between rounds
  • Banker and Potato Merchant has been added to the waiting room
  • Members of the same allegiance may spectate the round for your allegiance. During spectator mode, you will be muted and prevented from using any skills.
  • You can only get the rewards on the character that you joined with


Tips
  • Class diversity is not necessarily good. The more duplicated members of a class you have, the more likely you can afford to have someone of that class for multiple rounds.
  • At the same time, since the number of players allowed per round may vary, sometimes there are risks where you are stuck with no supports or no damage dealers if you have too many of the same class.
  • You should be prepared to at least use healing consumables in battle
