Multiple Account Question

Okay, I know that dual-clienting is not allowed. I've read the "Ten Commandments" and "Rules" thread and also read the Guardian NPC dialogue in game, as well as doing a few forum searches, and didn't see anything about this, so I want to make sure I'm not going to get myself in trouble. ^^

Is there any limit on the number of player accounts one person can own? I don't ever intend to have more than one account active at any time (I'm assuming @autotrade in Prontera is excluded). To be specific, I'll want a maximum of 3 accounts - 1 for vending, 1 male account, and 1 female account. Right now I have two, my main account (female) and one with a character for vending, and I may not ever want the third male account (if you want to know -- I usually play female characters, but there's a chance I may want to make a bard rather than a dancer). I just wanted to make sure of this before I went ahead with anything.

Also -- hi, I'm new. ^^ You may have seen me around in game a few times. This is the closest to an "introduction" thread you'll see from me, so talk to me if you want to know more. =p

You can have has many accounts as you would like, only playing one at the time like you already know (yes you can set merchant afk with @autotrade).

Welcome to the server. There is no problem with having that many accounts. Many people have 2+ accounts anyway, no one has ever gotten in trouble. Unless you dual-client, which you already know about it being illegal.

I have a question regarding this. Is it considered against the rules to dual-client just long enough to trade items/zeny between your main account and an account with your Merchant on it?

Yes, it is considered against the rules. Ask a friend to trade for you. Another GM is working on a system to transfer items using the CP, we'll let you know when we have more information about this.

We have to draw the line, and if we allow people to trade, then they will ask for more, not to mention this would require them to modify their files to allow dual-client (which is considered illegal btw), and then it would be so easy for people to slip.

While it is illegal to transfer them by duel clienting, you could still find a nice hidden spot with your merchs and Autotrade everything you want to transfer for 1 z but, then there's the chance someone might find it before you get back and that's not good at all
