The current NPC doesnt switch the gears, and it's outdated, also it switches your allegiance without an effort, while we want players to be attached to their allegiance, a new quest about joining a side is also in the plans.

That's fine with me.
When the allegience quest comes out, will there be any way we can do it still even though we have picked the allegience? I think we can make up something for the NPC to say to those of us with a chosen alliance as to why we'd bother.

So an NPC to make you shame and dishonor your current alleigance, as well as swearing your fealty to the opposing god/goddess thingamabob sounds pretty neat, and it'd be fun to see it more indepth as a quest. Would these quests still warrent the confiscation of the ToH wings the next time you compete in ToH (lol Dark alleigance knight with 5th gen light wings stirring up trouble in the mass battle)? or would the quest change them for you?

2008/11/07 Added a mention of the new quest that gives Allegiance points, the Monster Exterminator Quest, which starts with a npc in East Prontera.
