I have before, but with a friend that I have before and it was just a brief discussion between characters. As for trying to RP something in such a limited environment, form a party, form a scenerio. Going to dungeons and stuff could start something fun too. Use your imagination~!

I do not know if anyone of you here have played pen and paper rpg before but that really required Roleplaying. P&P can never be outdone in the department of imagination and fun if you have a good game master.

The problem/issue when it comes to mmorpgs in regards of role-playing is due to the fact of the medium. Watching the graphics/movie/etc and interacting with it via a mouse really only requires the player to PAY ATTENTION while role-playing requires people to IMAGINE.

wow actually I agree with that completely. It's always hard to get people to play along in your rp if all they want to do is just pay attention

And I wasn't even being serious, when I RP for real, I don't use Asterisks, I actually stop to describe the setting, actions, and moods/thoughts of my character in between the quotes and throughout the paragraphs almost as if it were a book, and I attempt to make it Imaginable, but like they say, it sorta narrows the room for imagination cuz most everything is all shown there for ya on screen.


Plus it sorta feels bad when you're trying to RP a total snob, and even the non-RP'ers start to shun you

Totally agree with Mr. Oka... when everything is already given, there is little to imagine for roleplay, and those who are not roleplaying may see the mean behaviors of one who is, and make false assumptions... Thought that dressing up the character with different hair style, color and hats/wings is what RO can do on a maximal level already, in Namin?'s view...

Everything is really shown by the graphics. There is not much to say or write down.

Haha nice one ronin. I have played P&P rpg before and it really depends on the skill of the GM to keep things under control. It can get very chaotic but very very fun.
