Hunter NPC problem?

I recently completed the job change quest from archer to Hunter Under the Username Eiale I read in several locations including ratemyserver.net and roempire.com that if you waited to complete the job change till 50 you would recieve a better bow, namely, the hunter bow over the normal crossbow if you didn't make it to 50. Much to my dismay, upon completely the job quest at level 50 i recieved a crossbow, negating all effort i put into those final 10 job levels.

This is a problem you should look into. An NPC issue such as this will probably occur again, users like myself who take the extra effort to go to 50 will be just as displeased as I was.

I would like my hunter bow, but it is low priority compared to repairing the NPC.

ooohhh one thing I forgot to ask you in game. Did you start the quest when you were job lvl 50 or did you start it when you were job 40 or so?

That's when it checks your jlvl for some reason.

I started it at like... 47 but waited to finish it at 50.

Need to start the job change at job 50 ^_^;;

(it's just a Hunter Bow[0] though which is purchased from NPC /swt so not as great of a loss compare to some other classes)

i'd not worry about the hunter bow myself honestly. an arbalest is still better as you get the dex bonus from it, and in your later levels composite bow[4]'s will be optimal bows to use.

As Rhino and Namine said, you need to be job 50 before starting the quest to get the better weapon, sorry.
