Ok, can you tell me the size of the 2 following files:
sdata.grf in your RO folder?
sdata.grf in your RagnarokOnline folder?

Can you also check how much free space you have available on your computer?

Lastly, did you make sure the hero_full_installer had actually finished downloading before trying to extract it? Because it should be much more than 545MB

Okay, they are both roughly 500mb...
And the full installer says that it's a little over 500mb as well... hmm...
*sighs* must be Vista being evil again. I'll try downloading the full installer again with the firewall off so nothing gets blocked.

Actually, I think the one you are trying to download is outdated, although it would still work I recommend you download both these files instead:

Make sure both have finished downloading + are in the same folder before you extract. You will need an extracting software, such as WinZip.

These 2 files I'm making you download are actually 1 file, but split into 2 to make them easier to download, which is why you need both, they don't work separately. If it works, you should be able to extract a .exe from them and run that to install heRO in a fresh folder.

uhm, vista doesn't like letting patchers download sometimes. you might have to download them manually before you can apply them.

So far I don't think the problem is vista.

500mb sdata.grf = litesakray = wont work with heRO, and there is no way the full heRO installer weights 500mb, it cant be opened because the file is not complete.

okay, I've downloaded the two full installers... but when I go to extract them it says that it's empty.

id recomend formating the harddrive and starting with a fresh install of xp pro.

what do you mean empty? Can you show a screenshot of what happens?

What are you using to extract? Download the latest Winzip if you don't have it.
